Looking at the really boring threads started recently, loss of regular posters, posts wanting previous posters to return, ie ethanDC I MMoore Truth Tellers, the reactivation of very old threads (as nothing new is all that interesting) you really have to wonder is this message board nearing end?

This happens in all internet forums that I've been in for the last 20 years. They have their ups and downs.

OH GEEZ,

SO now we are begging for it...Watch out is what I'd say.

I'll get you and your twin towers too...said the Wicked Witch Of THE Mideastern West.

So...start an interesting thread yourself for petes sake. Or a controversial one (that makes us THINK)

Also remember...as time goes on....the subjects that have been worn out and beaten to a pulp accumulate.

Hmm...I can feel people getting ready to become BITCHES from hell....all I gotta say is....BRING IT ON! (PS>>>wasn't that your favorite CHEERLEADING MOVIE)

I am so tired...and NO...I'm not talking about my personality this time.

Post something that is thought provoking and improve things. Does no good to bitch about it.

I miss IM Moore... His posts were something I looked forward to with unbridled delight.

Also I dearly miss Truthteller... Not only were his posts well written, he was damm smart too.

Eathan was teh buzzing mosquito in my ear that would not go away. I would have paid the El Al ticket to send him to TelAviv if I knew it would get him drafted into the Isreali army.

Im new here so the changes are not transparent to me.

I have noticed some here are cautious to help with a substantive post especially when its a new guy posing the question. Thats o.k. - Im a big boy ( and I am where IT counts;-) )so I can handle that type of welcome.

To my point ... or suggestion ... If this board has become highly moderated/censored as compared to the past, and if censorship has caused many good and interesting posters to find a few more clients to bang instead of hanging out here, then why not open up a special conference called "called anything goes" ? :7

IMO, moderating is exactly where it's always been - dependent on the mood of the moderators. No big deal; that's workable. The problem is the twits who get their jollies making other people feel incompetent. The rapier wit ain't what they think it is, but it does scare newbies away.

As a moderator, I'd have to disagree with that statement. Deletion (i.e. "censorship") is extremely rare. And in those instances when one of us deems it necessary, or is unsure about a particular post or thread, we discuss what to do. Only in the most egregious cases have one of us deleted a thread without first discussing it the others.

The vast majority of users are unmoderated, and the only time they need to worry about it is if they post something that breaks the rules of the site (which are clearly available for reference to every user). I can only think of a few times when an unmoderated person's post was later deleted.

As to the original post in this thread, I merely say, consider the source.

You're describing censorship which is not what I was talking about. Moderating (when a post finally gets posted, or when a person becomes unmoderated) is a different story. Not much censorship here, I agree.

Anyway, it's all really not that important and goes to show you what a slow day I'm having to even respond. I apologize and will go promote world peace (or piece) or something like that. Sorry!:-(

I'm having a slow day, too, so I'll reply. ;)

My definition is the real one of "moderating" most of the time. But for your definition, it's not so much our "mood" but when we think of it. The way it tends to work is this: One of us gets tired of seeing the same person's posts over and over again in the queue, and think that person should be unmoderated. We'll sugest promotion in the moderator's forum and ask for input. Typically we all agree, and Hoo promotes the person. The other typical scenario is someone asks to be promoted, and we discuss it then act. Occasionally, Hoo has just promoted someone on his own.

No real "mood" to it, it just happens periodically.

And because you have access to the moderators queue and forum that makes you any more crediable? You happen to have such a dull life that you get your thrills from moderating this board.

Best to you.

And people wonder why moderators get grumpy. x(

You can lay off bbkk right now. He's working his cute little ass off and doing YOU a favor by visiting this site at all. Same with all moderators.

Anyone who thinks we sit around waiting for drivel to show up in the queue should think again. We check it when we have time. Sometimes we don't, and we don't worry about it.

If posts sit in the queue for days on end, there isn't one of us who gives a shit.

This place is hardly moderated. The moderators only look for personal information that should not be posted - the most recent example was when a moderator notified me that an escort posted the email address of his client.

I think my only regret so far in operating this site is that I personally unmoderated Kalifornia with no input from my moderators, whom I trust implicitly. But K was such a whiney-ass always begging to be unmoderated and casting blame wily nilly, I finally gave in because I really have nothing to hide here and I figured the worst that could happen would be he would just start posting drivel about how disgusting he thinks we all are.

Kalifornia, since being unleashed did just what I thought he would do. He has proven himself to be a person whose posts speak loudly about what a sad individual he is. Yet, I find his railings amusing. I should have listened to my moderators, bb, losgatan and deej before I let Kalifornia, this sad, sack loose on all of you and I apologize to the moderators and I apologize to you the readers and contributors of this site.

Bitter -- party of one...your table is ready.

I really wish you did not visit this site, you and he are not doing me any favors. It is really interesting how certain a moderator has all this respect and tthe two of you none to little. Gee I wonder why that is.

And again I really don't care what you do. You check the queues when you want. The point is that it makes your dick hard because in this place you have the power, at Rage you don't.

Once again you make yourself seem like an ass. Who cares. If posts (even mine) sit in the queue then fuck you just lose another set of eyes. If HB loses enough set of ideas he will have to return to Houston.

The place is completely moderated whether that be a post sitting in a queue or a post that doesn't fall within your idea of what should be here. Pleezeee at least be honest to yourself about how you run this forum. It is your forum and you can do what you like. ALL of my posts have stated this clearly. But it is our choice to do as we like as well.

You are pretty brave HB you speak for all 1200 people registered here by your statement? First I NEVER requested to be unmoderated. Never complained about it in a serious way. I have said being chained and shackled is what I feel like here at times, and still do. When I became unmoderated it was nice .. the only difference is my "drivel" shows up quicker. If you GO BY YOUR OWN RULES, I have not broken any therefore what difference does it make to hold my posts in a queue? Come on HB there have been a few dictators who do this sort of thing and we all know their names. Be real man.

I am happy I pleased you. I am sure you knew/know exactly what I am going to do all the time. I have continued to do what I always do here, bring a little life to a dying message center. While confronting people with the truth, hey love hurts.

Yo so now you are saying that these same posts would not be released from the moderators queue? Hmmmmm a split personaility thingy going on here HB. Maybe that move caused more stress than you considered.

>Bitter -- party of one...your table is ready.

I'd like the one by the window and send the waiter who looks like Josh Harnett please.
