Sometimes, it seems like you know someone.... think you have them all figured out. Then, a much loved companion passes and a crazy storm comes all too close... and you see them like you did when you first met them.... the kindness, the caring.

I have been very touched by David over the years, literally and otherwise.... and I knew of Henry, indirectly. Tom told me about him and then, when David met Henry.... well.... game on... like David is with all special dogs... Sally, Pocket and, of course, Bob...... yet strangely, not with my Chloe... maybe just not enough room in the bed???

Cannot even begin to express my compassion for Tom. He treasured that pup, like Tyger does Nanook, like I do Chloe. And he gave him a special and cherished life.... and in the end, that's really all we can do for them.

And last night, before, during and after the storm, who did I hear from??? My family.... and David.

And Kristian this morning.

Bad things happen to us all the time.... but it is interesting to see, sometimes, who takes the time to notice.

Okie

PS....

It did miss me.... by about 2 miles to the south... crazy night, though. Sirens blowing, weatherman saying "Take cover, get underground...".... all still jumpy since Joplin. That one, a devastation.

That really sucks. And thing is I was actually considering making another trip out to Missouri and Oklahoma but my plans had changed to another part of the country.

I just seen a bit more info about Joplin and I am hard pressed to find that out. I went to the area about 2 times last year Tulsa, Joplin, Springfield and it seemed like a pretty nice close knit towns. That is just insanity. I can't even believe it...

When I heard about the Oklahoma tornadoes, I did think of you. Since I do not know anyone else in Oklahoma, I guess you are my go to guy for all things Okie. Glad things are okey dokey.

Thrilled to hear that all is well for you, Okie. Watching the news on Joplin is so disheartning, as it is for the other cities who have suffered so much in the past several months.
