I'm sure this has been discussed before but I can't locate it. I have developed high blood pressure and am taking Lisinopril but unfortunately it is not always good for my love life. Can somebody suggest something that would allow willy to stand up straighter and blow a bigger load?

Not an MD but there are literally dozens of anti-hypertension drugs out there. Surely one will control your condition and not have the side effects.

Talk to your doc and tell him or her your problem.

Best regards,

I have lived with hypertension for the better part of my adult life. It runs in my family particularly amongst the males. Mine requires two pills to keep it in check and my normal reading is such that would be considered elevated in most other individuals.

My advice is to discuss the issue with your doctor. If you've just started the drug in recent weeks or months it’s going to take a while for your metabolism to find a balance. Go see your doctor and tell him/her about the side effect and ask about one of the ED treatments available.

There's no need to worry or be embarrassed, believe me you doctor has heard every story in the book so just go for it. Mine refers to Viagra as Vitamin V as way to break the ice on the issue with his patients.

Whatever you do, don't under any circumstances go to an online Viagra or Cialis mill and place an order. There are risks to improper use of ED drugs which can result in heart attack or death. Other side effects include temporary blindness and blurred vision.

One more point to consider, your insurance will likely not cover the cost of ED drugs in your plan. That is unless you belong to a union or the CEO of your company needs it. Thus you need to expect to pay a couple of hundred dollars per prescription for just 10 pills.

I hope this information is helpful and please discuss this with your doctor before exploring any other alternatives.

I'd be interested in knowing if the doctor along with the high blood pressure prescription prescribed anything else... weight loss, moderate exercise to combat the high blood pressure.

I ignored my doctor for years as he warned me of diabetes. I started taking the meds and then one day decided on my own to deal with my weight. I lost 45 pounds in six months on my own. When I saw the doctor, he took me off all the diabetes meds and said, "It's about fucking you listened to me, asshole." That's when I realized he wasn't just a pill-pusher. Pushing pills was his only way of counteracting my bad behavior.

Six months later, the weight's still off and my blood sugar is even better. I no longer take high cholesterol meds either. So that's why I'm wondering about high blood pressure.

Thank you one and all for offering your comments to my initial query. You inspire me instudiocity. This all started when I quit smoking and absolutely ballooned. I know if I lost 40 pounds most of my problems would vanish. Other than sex smoking was my greatest pleasure. I loved it and now I seem to have substituted food. I need to stop.

Ask your doctor about a prescription for Metformin XR (Extended Release). I'm on it. I realize when I don't take it I start jonesing for a fix and I cannot eat enough to satisfy my cravings. My endocrinologist also prescribes to it women with ovarian cancer along with testosterone. He says Metformin is the best prescription medication to help people who crave food. When women start shooting testosterone to fight off the cancer, they also develop huge food cravings and the Metformin works to take the edge off.

You've got the same cravings - oral fixations - and maybe Metformin will help with the cravings. Of course, you've got to do something about your diet, too. Low-No sodium, no refined sugars, start eating fruits when you're hungry. The average size apple or banana has lots of satisfaction with few calories, about a 100 or so.
