Careful!

(just a bit of humor from me)

Just a quick note to everybody to be careful this St. Patrick's Day. Law enforcement has been warned to keep an eye out for DRUNK TYPISTS this year!!! It's a startling fact but please...please...if somebody you know is drinking, take their keyboard/cell phone/ etc away so they can't send a wild text to their best friend's friend at 3:30 a.m. saying some gibberish.

Thanks, Steven . . . Gee, I had no idea that you were Irish! LOL

I think that I may be part Irish, but only by injection. (safe, of course) :D

I can almost hear the voice on the bullhorn: Step AWAY from the keyboard, sir!

All kidding aside, people forget that like New Year's Eve this is one of the nights when the amateur drunks are on the road and there are horrendous casualties on the freeways every year. Be careful out there, folks.

New Years, Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas... all days that I choose to remain sober. Gee, since I drink all the other days that end in 'Y', does that make me a professional drunk?

And, is a professional drunk safer than an amateur one? Perhaps it is just a question of volume, VOLUME, VOLUME. :)

Best regards,

KMEM

Anyone think it is tacky to make a White House pool green?

Here is what Alcoholics Anonymous has to say about your question (copied from their website):

Answer YES or NO to the following questions.

YES __ NO __

2. Is drinking making your home life unhappy?

YES __ NO __

3. Do you drink because you are shy with other people?

YES __ NO __

4. Is your drinking affecting your reputation?

YES __ NO __

5. Have you ever felt remorse after drinking?

YES __ NO __

6. Have you ever got into financial difficulties as a result of drinking?

7. Do you turn to lower companions and an inferior environment when drinking?

19. Do you drink to build up your self-confidence?

YES __ NO __

20. Have you ever been to a hospital or institution because of drinking?

YES __ NO __

What's your score?

If you have answered YES to any one of the questions, there is a definite warning that you may be an alcoholic.

If you have answered YES to any two, the chances are that you are an alcoholic.

If you answered YES to three or more, you are definitely an alcoholic.
