It freaks some people out that as a classically trained musician I am a Little Monster. Mother Monster Lady GaGa releases her new song on Friday at 9 AM EST via facebook and I can hardly wait. Not only because it is GaGa, but because of the title and text of the new song. If the music matches the text in power it'll be just amazing because it speaks to me, and probably a broad spectrum of forum members.

I can't tell from the lyrics what this will sound like. It's hard for me to get a sense of the rhythm. But if her past work is any indication, I'm going to love it.

Every chance I get

 

I have been fortunate enough to see GAGA many times once at a small intimate venue in San Francisco before she was a super star I go every chance I get because she is amazing she writes most all her music and lyrics and works her ass off.

90% of her music is awesome

so yes I am a little monster BIG TIME.

 

Dont like a few of her new songs but most of it I love especially her more rock & roll songs.

I cant wait to see her live again in March my biggest fear is that she will go too far because she became so famous so damn fast.

At first I really didn't care for Lady GaGa at all. After seeing her videos though, I do admire her for being so different. She sort of has taken the whole trannyshack San Francisco thing, polished it, and made it more mainstream. It all works too! I don't think the lyrics to her songs are all that great. I do however enjoy the catching beats and her visuals. Though I try to stopo myself, when I'm alone, I find myself singing along to her songs

It does rock. The damned thing is about what I hoped -- it can be a fucking anthem for those of us who are different than "the norm". Damn it, I WAS born this way. Mother Monster wrote and delivered a song especially to her little monsters. And unless I miss my guess, this may well be done at the grammys on Sunday night.

 

Gaga is being interviewed on Sixty Minutes on Sunday as well.

Vogue article is great. Huge cover article and photoshoot. But they used the exact word that I used earlier so I don't think I'm off track too much. "The song at first sounds suspiciously like a Madonna tune and then switches into something that feels a bit like a Bronski Beat hit and then finally transforms into its own thing: a Gaga original. Clearly an homage to the obscure underground disco record “I Was Born This Way”; it is an unbelievably great dance song, destined to be the anthem of every gay-pride event for the next 100 years."

Count me in as a little monster. I love love love Gaga. Saw her Monster Ball last year and have tickets again to see it when it comes back to town in a few months. I hope she incorporates the new song into the night. Gaga forever!

Yeah, she's just the most vocal supporter of the gay community in the music business. Who needs her? :p

 

If she doesn't watch it she is going to get the pants sued off her.

 

Well, Madonna didn't get sued for ripping off "Respect Yourself" when she wrote "Express Yourself," so I think Gaga is safe. :p

HAck Hack !! hack eh eh

 

Its really hard to steal a dance beat.

I can think of about 30 songs that are mixed to have a similar beat and rhythm its called finding a hard groove and going with it.

Which is exactly what GAGA & many others do when they write compose and mix a song they want people to scream and dance to.

which is what I will be doing till I cant walk any more.

this song rocks yeah its a formula but it works every few years like a charm

Its her turn she worked for years and can actually sing and write and dance

which many pop stars do not do these days.

I think the Egg is inspired. Some people say she's too over-the-top, but what do you want? Another boring celebrity walking down the carpet?...Oh, I'm wearing a Vera Wang gown blah blah blah. Lady Gaga will be one of the few Grammy performers everyone will still be talking about (and listening to) in a month. She pushes the envelope and I love her for it. The Grammy's would be such a snorefest without the fun spectacles and talent she brings. GaGa--You go girl!

As confused as i am about some of her odd behavior, lol, this is why i will continue to respect the heck out of this woman. No one is perfect, but you have to give credit to someone who stands up to corporate bigotry and speaks out in support of any minority group's civil rights.
