Thanks for additional scenes Adriano. There are actually only 3 more clips I was able to find out there. But the first of these may be the best of them all: Derek "crusing" in the men's bathroom. And the scene at the end with Leonard is priceless. Catherine Tate has come up with a winner with Derek Faye. "Who dear? Me dear? Gay dear? No dear". But my favorites are the descriptions: "taking deliveries up the back passage", "travels up the chocolate escalator", "being a receiver of swollen goods", Thanks again duchess and adriano for the other clips. Leigh, I got lazy last evening after downloading the first four. I actually did watch the one in the T-Room and it was wild.

 

Love Derek's excited response to the suspicion he is gay, the "Who dear? Me dear? Gay dear? No dear". And the answer to that which is really wild, as you pointed out. I had never heard of this show (even when iun Europe) and could only imagine a 21st century Carol Burnett doing it on this side of the pond.

Adriano -- The visual you just planted in my head is positively frightening. Tim Conway as Derek. Off the original topic, but one of my absolute favorite moments in all of television history: Tim Conway and the Siamese Elephant Story. Vicki Lawrence at the end just blows them all away.

Lee, I have always felt that, although we in the US have been blessed with some amazing comic ensembles (Lucille Ball & Desi Arnez with Fred and Ethel; Abbott and Castello; etc..) no one has come near Carol Burnett and her cast with Tim, Vicky and Harvey) and this skit I remembered too and laughed just as much as I did the first time.

This is one of my favorite (should I say "favourite") shows. Definitely worth checking out all the Catherine Tate characters besides Derek, and there are loads of them on youtube. I particularly like the skits with her schoolgirl character... plus the boy that is in those skits it utterly adorable!
