Here is a totally different take on this. I travel to Rome at least a couple of times a year. Rome is the city of waiters (according to the waiters) La cita dei camerieri (spelling?).... Well there are thousands of trattorias, ristorantes etc. You'll never get a bad meal and never find at least one nice looking young Italian waiter who will befriend you. Invest some time in conversation and before you know it you are meeting for drinks and .... Money gets exchanged, but it is all indirect most of the time. I realize that we hire escorts to avoid the hassle, but there is a certain entertainment value to all this - and believe me, Italian guys under 35 are well worth the effort!

I hate to butt in here but this is at least tangentially related... I just tried to look at Gay Romeo as suggested in this thread on my iPhone. I can't get the safari browser to scroll down the list of European countries to get to Italy. I have this problem all the time of not being able to scroll down a page. Is there a solution?

I used an iPhone 4 running iOS 4.2.1 with no issues. I didn't need to scroll down to Italy from the widest view and when I zoomed in, I could still scroll down to Italy, click and open Lazio (Roma) and then click on 325 escorts for a view of the first 12 or 15 on the site.

 

I don't know which iPhone or iOS you've got, but it's working for me.
