It's great that "Time Heals Everything" was included in the tribute. An all-time personal favorite.

He seemed genuinely touched. And sam.fitzpatrick, first welcome to the forum. And second, you show remarkable taste. I was listening to Bernadette Peters doing Time Heals Everything just this afternoon. One of my favorites as well. But you couldn't have a Jerry Herman tribute with out Angela Lansbury and Carol Channing. It was good to see them there.

Agreed, Angela and Carol where charming. The only disappointing aspect of the tribute was it was not long enough!

Personally, I was downright stunned when they introduced Carol Channing. I had no idea the old broad (and I say that with love) could still stand!

 

It was a Jerry's Girls reunion to remember, for sure.

In additon to the tribute to Jerry Herman, it was also nice to see the Kennedy Center Awards pay tribute to Oprah Winfrey, Bill T Jones, the legendary Merle Haggard and the great one himself, Paul McCartney

What a well-deserved tribute. But Jerry seems so terribly melancholic...everybody is giving it their all and he is sitting stonefaced no doubt overcome by emotions but also surely contemplating the finality of it all...let's hope he can stay around and keep composing more wonderful lyrics a good while longer.
