Ok, im still lost on this avatar deal. Believe it or not i had two dreams about it last night... more like nightmares!!

I have made an avtar image of myself using this program that i downloaded. But i dont know where to get a url for it. I have a facelink.com page and an aol page, but i dont think those work. I think one needs a url thats just a small photo( my image), with nothing else on the page?? Am i right? If so where can one get this url?

I have emailed a few of you, and thank you so much for the 2 guys that wrote back. But i still am confused.

Thanks for your help-

OK, I'll bite: What do you do with an avatar? (First it was icons, and now it's avatars.) What do you click on to see "see all"? When I move my cursor to the avatar, nothing happens.

I'm in one of those I-hate-technology moods.

That lines sounds like the beginning of a song... or possibly an ad. Regardless, you don't do anything with them. They're just there, to personalize one's messages.

We technologists take great pride in provoking these. :-)

RE: those tests

You don't need to re-post everytime you change avatars. All your previous ones change, too. Every one of your posts on this topic now contains your last choice of avatar.

Sorry I missed the first few. This one is handsome. (a little wide, but handsome ;-) )

I love this! First because I, too, dream about things I'm stuck on. (It never helps.) And second because of the way you went to work to solve the problem on multiple fronts. Your test posts especially made me smile. A lot of people here wouldn't be caught dead posting a "test," for fear of looking ungodly. In consequence they continue to dwell in technological darkness.

Perhaps you've figured this out by now, but the distortion of your pic as it's displaying at the moment is that it's forced into a square 48 x 48 pixels when the original pic is rectangular. To eliminate the distortion, crop your pic to a height equal to the width.

Anyhow, good going.

ROFLMAO!

Just today I looked at a woman in the office and said, with a straight face, "technology is no place for wimps".

There'll be hell to pay when the boss gets back but it sent her bothering someone ELSE so I could fix the problem at hand. }>

The next one i will put up will be square so it wont be so wide. (thanks for the tip Blu)

Rick, maybe you can change your ass pic into one that's a bit more rectangular. If what's being said here is true, that should give it more width - and I LOVE an easy access wide ass! :9

Without a doubt the North Carolinian is a cutie for sure! ;)
