I have a new question (for both escorts and clients). I have not found anything related in the archives.

Do you have any advice to offer (or stories to share) regarding a negative experience with airport security directly related to sexually oriented items in your luggage?

And while my stereotypical thoughts would be that conservative Middle East countries would be worthy of particular caution are there others also of great concern?

Anecdotal experiences from friends...

My friend had his straight porn (Hustler magazines) confiscated when he went through customs in Egypt.

Another friend who lives in Tokyo told me not to bring porn into the country as they don't allow porn with pubic hair to be shown.

I've brought my pleasure pack and had my dildos explored in Buenos Aires (EZE) without question.

At Your Own Peril

If you bring porn or toys, sometimes even condoms/lubricants, etc. into some countries you will have a lot of explaining to do. As has been pointed out, most of the Middle Eastern Countries, Japan, China, Singapore, etc. all have various laws that immigration officials can utilize. I never bring any of that with me, as what I need I can buy in the local stores and thereby diminish any excuse for further security or immigration questions. You should also be aware that many countries exchange information, so if you are questioned in Egypt, don't be surprised if you are questioned in other Middle Eastern Countries. Why take a chance when there is no need. I also never take a Spartacus Guid book with me. I simply rip out the pages for the location where I will be and include it in other business paper work. I also make sure that I am very conservatively dressed in business attire when I go to those countries. I don't always wear a tie, but always a sport coat with a nice collared shirt. I hope you enjoy your trip, and avoid any difficulties. I would be curious to know how some of the escorts that post on this site handle these situations. :)

About 15 years ago I was stopped and had my luggage searched in Narita. I used to carry some book sized gay magazines for entertainment (pre-internet). These were confiscated and I was forced to write an apology to some minister of culture. I always thought that was odd since you could buy magazines of prepubescent girls there and read them on the subway. I spent a total of 2 years in Japan and know less about the culture than when I first arrived. You’re always asking “why are they doing that?” I was only stopped the one time out of a dozen or 15 trips there.
