Hi Guys,

I went through the FAQ section and tried the "advanced search" function, but to no avail. Notwithstanding one (rather unhelpful) thread on Natal, everything regarding other cities in Brazil is at least 4 years old.

[bTW, what I did learn from this long search is that Trillingual is apparently THE most patient and helpful and considerate person alive...or at least on this forum. Thank you Tri very much!!!]

I'd appreciate very much recommendations/info regarding retboys saunas/venues in Curitiba, Brasilia, Natal, and Salvador. I'll also visit Iguazu, but I guess that's asking for too much...

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps there are better sources than here on Daddy's.

I would start checking the gay Brazil sites. I for one do not go to Brazil, as the boys are not a primary interest for me when I travel. If you have been in contact with Trillingual, you have probably already hit the best source here. If I was doing this I would just start doing web searches after that. One of the things that probably sets Trillingual aside from others is that I believe he speaks Portuguese fluently, and I believe he lived in Brazil for a substantial period of time. Most of the other guys here have visited, but were tourists and most likely do not have the language or extensive inside experience of living there. Even two or three vacations a year will not give you the same experience as living there and speaking the language.

I have never met him personally, but I have it on good (and trusted) authority that he knows what he is talking about.

Good luck!

Thanks for the compliments. :-) You'll probably find the most recent information on http://www.gaytravelbrazil.com In the past few years it's had the most posts about Brazil, including the saunas and the availability of guys, as well as just about any other subject you can imagine. For lists of places to go in Brazil you can always check http://www.netgay.com.br or http://www.guiagaybrasil.com.br For Netgay you need to know the Brazilian state a city is in. Maps are also available online!

Thanks Tri.

I tried the three websites you mentined before putting up my post, but since you referred me to them - I'll re-try.

On the other hand, since a great authority such as yourself could not assist with first-hand knowledge - my pessimism is growing...

Netgay's English version reverts to Portugese when navigating away from the homepage. If "com boys" means with, and "sem boys" means without, most of the saunas are without :-(

Could it really be that so many horny tourists in Brazil never venture beyond Rio and SP...

In Northeastern Brazil and some other smaller cities the saunas are "mixed." They have both escorts and clients looking to hook up with other clients. Usually the escorts wear a different colored towel, or wear their keys around their necks, or something like that, to set themselves apart from those looking for free hook-ups. Not to fear, you'll have a festive time in Brazil no matter where you go.
