Where do you think the ads will end up? There used to be tons of ads for "massage" on CL in cities like NYC and LA. Now that CL has stopped accepting adult service ads, I doubt that all those young men have just said "well, that's it, I'll stop doing massage."

I've seen a few guys who used to be on CL show up on Rentboy or M4RN but only a few. So that tells me that the others have found some other venue to post ads on that I'm not aware of.

Any ideas out there? I used to find interesting guys on CL on a fairly regular basis and had pretty good luck with them. I do use Rentboy and M4RN but have found that there are many guys who never show up on either one of those sites.

Thanks,

BG

I'm guessing the Massage guys will have to go Mainstream Advertising on Renboy etc.

The problem there is..IF NO License then you have to Advertise as a Body WORKER in some States....Body Worker sure sounds like a "Happy Ending" to me!

The rest will have to join the Ranks of "Working Guys" take Pix's and BUY ad space etc...I'm sure RENTBOY ain't complaining about this development.

Try Backpage , I've seen more guys in adam4adam as well (click on "PROS" - select escort). The amateurs are still using Craigslist m4m and casual sections, but they're just using slyer wording. You need to filter to find them easily.

Work & vote to kick these moralistic AG sh!theads to the curb!

There's also been an increase in escorts in the PRO section of Adam4Adam in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. A lot of the "PROs" are very amateur and don't seem to have a clue how to present themselves as "PROs". Some of the Profiles are outright hostile and clearly not client-centered. But if you screen carefully, there are escorts charging as low as $100/hr for an incall.

Here in Denver, I am finding that adam4adam and backpage are garnishing 0 business. Unfortunently, a4a has a reputation for being used for free, cheap, hookups...and the guys on there are usually free and cheap too whether they have an ad up or not. I was having a conversation with a guy recently who complained about not being able to pay his bills, yet he meets guys from Adam left and right and they aren't even giving him a dime. And Im like, why are you sleeping with all these guys when they aren't giving you crap? So imagine having an ad for $200.... its just un-real for them.

The good news, the reserved escort sites are bringing in the higher rates we deserve, despite the initial drop in business immediately after the closing.

Down South here in New Orleans ALL the HOT ESCORTS are on http://www.men4rentnow.com . Problem is that many working married men (65% of the clients) cannot go to that site at work and don't dare go to it at home. I am an escort in nola and NO one uses backpage or adam 4 adam. CL's demise has been devastating to business. anyway, MIKEY9nola HERE and so proud of my new review on Daddys reviews just posted today. check me out! Later

Hey mikey -- just a thought from a fellow southerner (though nowhere near as south as you). Have you looked into some possibly strategically timed ads with either Rentmen or Rentboy. One thing I've discovered here in my brief time is that of the three sites, there does seem to be a very distinct regional preference as to the prevalence of which sites rule where. Just IMHO, I much prefer Rentmen, but I'm definietely drawn to MEN and not the twink crowd. And although most of the guys on Rentmen also use Rentboy, the reverse does not apply. From a client's perspective I would think that perhaps a few ads placed on the other 2 big sites a few weeks before big NOLA events (you do have big events down there don't you -- Mardi Gras, Southern Decadence) certainly could be helpful for business.

As for me, I rarely use M4RN. For my own personal taste, I just find the graphics not nearly as eye appealing, and I don't feel like I'm getting nearly as much info about you the escort as the other sites, especially Rentmen.

Just MHO and take it for what it's worth (my opinion and $50 may get you a beignet at Brennan's -- or not).

Alternatives to Craigslist

I am going to miss CraigsList. I really liked finding the "less professional boys" there.

There seems to be a bunch more also popping up on Squirt.org They welcome massage/escort and they can post for free.

I hope we can find other sites as well that foster similar type of ads.

Alternatives to Craigslist...

That's what I love to hear - I would have never thought to search on squirt.org and it never came up in my Google searches.

I'm just afraid there's other awesome freebie ad sites I'm missing out on because I haven't heard where the non-pros are going after the great Craigslist shutdown.

Thanks! It pays to pass the word around on any new sites you may discover because the more clients checking there, the more guys that will advertise. Never assume that we know all the cool sites, some of us are just slow...

I'm quite sure there are good overseas sites with US boys advertising, just haven't been able to discover the best ones yet.

I am on Rentmen and I think the site is VERY professional and the customer service is the best in the business BUT I must say that 75% of my new clients are from m4rn (because of the reviews-they are easy to find) and 20% come from rentboy. Rentboy has some technical issues they need to resolve but I do love them. Unfortunately I have only met 2 or 3 clients from Rentmen. Some of the most noble business efforts do not make it unfortunately. Their brand recogniton is just not out there. I even post travel dates there and still get no response but anytime I post travel dates on m4rn I get swamped wherever I go. Glad to be away from craigslist now, though. Every inquiry from m4rn or rentboy is legit- they may not all book but they are legit. C.L. brings out all the crazies and you have to weed out 5 bad ones till you get a good one.
