Isn't there a difference between how personal email is handled and how business email is handled? I expect business email to be prompt and business-like; personal email is much more flexible, at least according to my expectations.

I just went back and re-read all of my posts in this thread. I don't see anywhere where I castigated anyone. Perhaps you could point out where I did that.

I did say that my conclusion was that escorts have so many potential clients that at least some of them just don't care if they blow off clients because there will always be another one around the bend. If so, bully for them. In the world in which I spend most of my time, clients expect replies in minutes, not hours. I don't expect that from escorts but am always delighted when it happens. I do think that escorts who advertise an email address or a phone number should return messages within a reasonable time frame but perhaps that's just me. My whole point of responding to this thread was to let the OP know that he's not alone in receiving what many would consider rude treatment from escorts who either don't respond at all or who respond in a manner that isn't consistent with good manners -- or, really, good business.

Adam 4 Adam email problems

I think you are missing the boat here completely.

If your preconceived notion was that this escort had a heart of gold and you thought highly of him why not give them the benefit of the doubt it could have been a mistake. he may have accidently blocked you. maybe he thought you were someone else who knows.

if the escort posts here on daddys which is about a total of 10 guys and only a couple of them actually use A4A you have many other ways of contacting him A4A is full of problems you might want to send a short email explaining what happened and that there may be some mistake.

you may find out the escort would have been happy to see you and that he may have misunderstood your email. 99.99 % I would even say 100% of the guys on Daddys would not block you with out a very good reason I have not blocked anyone in months.

there has to be a mistake finding out might make you feel better.

I certainly hope you will report back here with the results. Every escort that posts here has ample contact info available to you too much can go wrong with A4A

Hope you get this cleared up and you can clear the record for those of us that use A4A.

Thanks Much

xo David

When I'm traveling to a city, I'll typically email several escorts two or three days in advance. The email is always short, to the point, polite and friendly. I give the dates when I'll be in town, the hotel that I'll be at, what I'm looking for and a bit about myself. I ask for a simple reply letting me know if they're available to get together.

On average these days, I get a response back to about one email out of ten. Usually I'll get another one or two about two weeks later from guys who say "Sorry! Just checked my email. Do you still want to get together?" Of course, by then I'm often on the other side of the country.

I generally pick 4-6 guys, most often I will hear from 1-2. I think that there are many reasons, but it comes down to what actually works. Hoping one guy will live up to "MY" expectations is just a bit unrealistic. There are a host of reasons why someone does not respond, including the fact that he may have never got the message to begin with. I wonder how many flaky calls working guys get from those who do not hire or who don't show, etc.

food for thought

All our calls are flaky but you probably mean those who do not hire or who don't show, etc. :)

Adam..Totally Agree..Most Lawyers would say get it in writing BUT IF another way to make Contact is the only way..then that's the way!

Most Traveler's experienced with Rentboy in NYC for instance know it is better to Call than go thru email.. they don't have the Time or Days it can take for an answer!

I think that you have every right to be upset at whomever you were trying to contact. The escort in question should have handled the whole situation on a more professional level..

However, Depending on how "popualar" he may be could depend on how he reacted. Of course, this should never be an excuse for peoper etiquette.
