Springsteen? Springsteen? Oh I get it this is one of those "just kidding" posts.

I've been listening to the new Springsteen album constantly since it was released. It seems that every day there's another song or two that I find myself playing over and over. It's easily his best and most consistent album since The River. I cried when i first heard Into the Fire. There are also some great rockers such as Further On Up the Road and Mary's Place.

I am going to see him Saturday at the Forum here in L.A. I was wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to see him on this tour and what they thought?

As with all of his albums, I'll wait for the bootleg live versions in concert. I think Springsteen is one of the most electic live performers ever, somehow the studio album fail to convey that excitement to me. Bruce is a sexy guy for his age, almost 53.

At 11:00 on the day it came out, I suddenly realized I had to have the album NOW. I've never felt so obsessed out a disc, at least not for a couple of decades. I went online and searched for a store open til midnight, that was within an quick drive from my home on Chicago's lakefront. I was quickly at Border's nearby and grabbed it.

Only then did I realize I couldn't possible go back to my condo and crank it up like I'd like to--not at midnight, even in my solidly built, quiet building. So, I just went for a long drive, top down, hair blowing, and The Boss and Clarence doing what they do best.

I saw Springsteen at Soldier Field back in '85(?), and he puts on a great show.

You need to treat yourself to a pair of good headphones.

Somehow I knew that the man whose favorite group was The Who would be heard from on this one! ;)

Yeah, I'm down with you, bro (wow, suck a few str8 guys & you start to sound like 'em). :p I'm just hoping Townshend takes his cue from the Boss and writes some new music already.

>Blondie

One of the best concerts I saw this summer...right up there with Heart, Elvis Costello & The Who. Cyndi Lauper (opening for Cher) was also amazing...but Cher herself (and Diana Ross) fucking sucked. No more divas for me. Rock on.

Yeah what has Townshend been up to lately anyway? For some reason however I missed the whole Springsteen thing. I'm the right age for it. I think he is a great songwriter but somehow I never became a fan.

But you know there are good newer bands too. TOOL put on a great show this month in my town. But I found myself more attracted to the fathers than the male fans at the show.

I must be getting old.:7

Rick I saw blondie (you are correct BTW the "b" is lower case) at the Whisky (yes no "e") in West Hollywood on their first escape from New York. This was just prior to their first record being released. One of the best shows I have ever seen. Saw them 5 or 6 times after that as well. Never a disappointment.
