How does a post just disappear?

There was a post from about a week ago in Escort Travels. It was there two days ago but now it has vanished. Where'd it go?

You haven't given anyone much to go on. What kind of post? Who posted it? What was the subject?

 

We do sometimes delete duplicate posts, particularly in the escort travels section so that other posts don't needlessly scroll to page 2. We delete posts from that section if they are not related to escort travel as well, and we delete posts when the poster requests us to delete them.

 

But I can tell you that there hasn't been any discussion of deleted posts in the Moderator's forum for quite a while now so I doubt anything was deleted. One of the moderators recently asked about posts that had "gone missing" only to find that they came back the next day. We assume it was a cache issue either on his computer or on AOL.

I go through the "Escort Travels" section with an eye only on the dates. When the dates expire, they are deleted. Sometimes I do it everyday, sometimes I do not. If an escort makes a post without the dates, it is deleted. Its free for everyone as an informational tool. You really should not post anything there if you want to make a lasting statement.
