RE: I'd Love To Kiss Ya

Thanxz for the many different responses. You can always count on that here..

Someone here pointed out the possibility that we can become "set in our ways" and I agree..but if thats the case than what do you do when the time comes around to "live with someone." I am gonna be in that situation one day.. My friend of 8mhtns and I have jokenly talked about it but neither one of us wants to give up our places or independence. That is the only area of concern. We are both set in our ways .. He is very messy and I am extremely neat..But guys..

"I Love him Awful"..Compromise is easier when you haven't been on your own for soooo looong. I know you guys understand what I am saying. Can I get and Amen..

I mean those of you in relationships right now..Are you living in his place or your place and how hard was the transition??

And Rick..who made the move with you..Was it your place or Derricks..

Thanks Again for all your reponses..

To make the transition MUCH easier, do neither. You should together, find yourselves a new place and both move into it at the same time. This makes the home much more "neutral" and both parties can contribute to the decoration. (Although the decoration can present a whole new list of problems :-) )

I've never had my own place. We met when I was 17; I graduated from high school & I went straight from Mom & Dad to college & Derek, who was a year & a half older than me and living in a dorm. We got an apartment together off-campus and in between fucking day & night, we went to class. Sometimes we fucked in class, too (we'd sneak into the lecture halls at night & do it right there). Obviously, Derek was teaching me skills that would be far more useful to me in my future career. Don't let him know I said this but when we met, I was mostly "the top" (of course, now, I'm the only versatile one).

So...to answer you...any place we've ever had has always been ours. (by the way, it's "Derek"...what do ya want, a fat lip? :p )

Thanxs everyone for your advice..BTW doesn't that coalminer they pulled out of the hole look amazing with those blue eyes?? If I would have known he was down there I would have gone down myself...ouch I wounder how the rest of them cleaned up...(of course I say this knowing they are all safe)

Rick..you made me think of my college days when I was very much in. I knew of maybe 2 gay men and the theatre majors were all called "Zippies" It was always just assumed that they were all gay even tho many of them had gal pals..If I could do it all again there were alot of plump bubble butts prime for fucking..And I wouldn't have to pay for it..I mean some pot maybe a few kegs and I could have gone from room to room. Of course I say that all now:*

RE: I'd Love To Kiss Ya ....

<...I would hate to find myself slowly becoming the curmudgeonly eccentric of the neighborhood....>

So, what is the downside to that?

I am 40, and aside from a boyfriend that moved in for 2 yrs, and couple friends that needed to couch surf for a month or so, I have lived alone since I was 19 yrs old.

At this point in my life, I don't think I could do any shared living arrangement. Worry how that would impact potential long term relationships.
