After a yearlong struggle with cancer, the man who started out as a radio actor and announcer for the Brooklyn Dodgers left his indelible mark on television as the voice of "Charlie" on the hit television series "Charlies Angels" and played with gravitas the lent silver-haired Dynasty patriach, Blake Carrington. The legendary actor, John Forsythe who had a commanding baritone of a voice died in his home at the age of 92.

wow

I loved Dynasty~~ It was one time #1 TV Show. I thought Blake was so sexy including all the men in Dynasty. He had an amazing voice too. I will miss him. RIP.

Another real class act. Interesting that actor Christopher Cazenove -- who played his brother Ben on Dynasty -- died just a few days later at the early age of 66 or 68.

More than Just Dynasty

Forsythe was a successful TV and Movie actor for Decades. He rose to the top of the TV

ranks as the star of "Bachelor Father" for 7-8 years in the 60's and Back on top again

in the 70's with a 5-6 year run of "To Rome With Love."

Lots of TV and movie roles in between - Well before Dynasty and Charlie's Angels.
