NYC Recommendations

I'm new to posting on this site but I've read a lot of your recommendations in the past and I've benefitted greatly from them.

 

I'm going to be visiting NYC next month and I want to take advantage of the opportunity to have a few massages while I'm in town for the long weekend. It may sound strange, but because of a very important relationship, I have some limitations about what I feel these massages can include. First and foremost I'm looking for a masseur that is professionally trained (and preferably licensed) that will give me a full 60 or 90 minute session (in or outcall doesn't matter). If there's nothing more beyond that, I'd be happy. I don't want sex and even a release doesn't matter, but I do like to have some "eye candy" to look at. Ideally the masseur would wear a pair of shorts and be shirtless, spend some extra time on my butt and thighs, and then move on to calming relaxation after that.

 

There are so many ads out there, many of which describe a lot more than what I'm looking for but I want someone that will respect my boundaries and isn't just looking to give a rug and tug and send me out the door in 30 minutes. That, and unhygienic surroundings are a big turn off.

 

This is the list I've narrowed my choices down to and if any of you can give advice (even privately), I'm all ears! I'm sure the lack of reviews in some cases means they are less than stellar but I also know that some of them are hidden gems waiting to be discovered.

I would urge you to contact Chris... he is a certified masseur, does therapeutic (but also sensual and erotic) but is very sensitive to what the client wants, and would certainly respect your limits. He is "eye candy" personified and will wear what ever you want or nothing if you want. He is absolutely the best masseur I have ever had. He is on the Massage M4M site. As I mentioned earlier, Chris (yogaholic) is incredible and my absolute first choice in NYC. I saw Gilberto in DC a few years ago for two or three times and it was quite an experience. The massage was excellent and there were some extras too that I won't discuss. A couple of friends of mine also like Jake, but I have personally not used him. Good luck and let us know what your experience(s) were like.

I assume that you are referring to Jake Deckard, who I have not seen since he returned to NYC as my schedule never seems to correspond to his availability. However, in spite of his reputation as a porn star he is really quite skilled and knowledgeable as a message therapist. At the time I saw him he actually helped with a lower back problem. In fact he was able to give me some medical advice that the so-called experts (including a pain-specialist and chiropractor) failed to divulge... perhaps they didn't want me to know some of the "secrets" of massage therapy. That he can get naughty and is also eye candy.. at least to these eyes... certainly didn't hinder matters! However, the bottom line is that he is expertly trained... so if you wanted to keep things on a professional level he would certainly fit the bill.

I had exactly the same experience with Jake in the days before his porn career. In my case it was knots in the upper shoulders. And he was indeed eye-candy.

Thanks again for the tips. Jake is definitely someone I've noticed before and I'll consider him. It's just that from the ads and reviews, it seemed that what he offered was way more than what I was looking for so that's why I focused on masseurs that only offered therapeutic and sensual (not erotic).

 

The one thing I wonder about is their rates. Some of the rates for those that do everything from therapeutic to erotic massage seem a bit high (and obviously include a lot more than I'm looking for).

 

Since I'm not looking for all the bells and whistles, is it rude for me to ask if they have a lower rate for straight therapeutic/light sensual work or is it the case that once I ask them to strip to their undies, I should just shut up and enjoy the eye candy? (and while I'm asking-for those that advertise therapeutic and sensual-not erotic massage, where it is kind of understood and expected-do you just straight out ask for the eye candy at the beginning, hint at it, or wait until the massage is underway and things start getting sensual?)

 

I normally get massages where I live in Florida and I pay around $100-$120 for 90 minutes and I usually give a $20-$30 tip. I know things are more expensive in the city-is it expected for me to give a huge tip after I've laid out $200 already-especially since I'm not asking them to go all out with what some others would have received after paying the same fee?

I always tip in proportion to the service I receive... Only rarely have I never tipped an escort or a massage therapist, but frankly they did not deserve a tip. I can also be very generous with a tip and have done so on many occasion, especially when the guy is not a clock watcher and is more interested in us both having a good time. I'd be interested in hearing from any of the masseurs or escorts that are often on this site.

He's okay, not amazing but not bad. He advertises that he will do 45 mins. of massage then 15 minutes of 'oral fun,' which he apparently gets into but I kinda felt like it was something he did perfunctorily, like it doesn't matter who you are but he gets into that. Nice guy, good body as photographed, but no real presence or chemistry for me.

Tristano asked about Eric Diamond and Peter. I've seen both of them several times, and I recommend both. Eric is a physical trainer and masseur, and Peter is a former school teacher (he says he may return to that job) and has graduated from the Swedish Institute. Both are personable and articulate, and enjoyable to be with. Eric has a review from me on M4M, in which I talk about his being all over me from every side of the bed. I don't believe that he goes in for anything oral. Yes, Peter does the 45 minutes of massage (real massage, not a rub), and then the "oral fun," which is unusual, in that many guys won't do that these days. He will also let me suck him, which I frankly prefer to vice versa. As for "perfunctory," well, we all have our off days. I will definitely hire both of them again. Their rates are low, and they're both honest, sincere, and give a 60-minute hour.

I noticed that too. Saw him on the newsletter. However I wish they'd show their face... always like to have an idea what the person looks like.... body shots are nice extras.... but the hood for me is kinda of a turn off all around.
