I never log in to Rentboy, but I think the search function works for me. What is driving me crazy is that after looking at a guy's ad when you "left arrow" out of it, instead of taking you back to where you were, it takes you back to the 1st page of that city. Arrrgh!!!!

GThat one I figured out, although it is slow.

 

Above each ad (above the guy's photo and ad name) are 2 arrows (right and left) and something in between. PUSH THE CENTER IN BETWEEN BUTTON and you will go back to the page where you were looking.

 

If you have a super fast line, it moves a bit more quickly and goes actually back to the guy's photo on the page where you swere looking before you opened his individual ad.

Exactly! IF they donot pay attention to one of their Advertsing Sources of Income.."Working Guys" don't even expect any answers (excuses) as to why their site has become a Mess!

It would be nice if someone from Rentboy logged into this forum and addressed some of our concerns. I think it would be good for Rentboy's business, too.

 

When I wrote to "support" at renboy I suggested that they visit this forum and look at the comments on their new "improved" site. I still think the best approach at this point is to let any guys you work with on a regular basis know that the new site is a mess and that sooner or later it is going to influence the number of calls they recieve. If the escorts who pay substantial fees to post there complain, they will make changes.

RB will not change and doesn't care to change because they think that highly of themselves and show no concern for their customers (clients and escorts) basic needs. It's never their fault but instead, always the users fault which from all the comments doesn't appear to be correct one bit.

Going over this thread, I hear two complaints with the new site: the button that takes you back to your search results (after having viewed an individual ad) isn't clearly labeled, and there are some connectivity problems. I'll drop by the office this afternoon to convey both concerns (although I cannot replicate the connectivity issues). Does anyone have any other constructive criticism for me to relate to the team?

Kevin, I suspect I speak for some when I express my appreciation for you taking the initiative on this. Were I you, I think I step back generation in technology and simply print out this entire thread to give them to prove that you are more than one cranky escort complaining.

Rentboy fix?

 

I surf RentBoy using a Mac running Firefox browser and a little add-on called 'No Script' preset to forbid all scripts. When I go to the site, I select the 'No Script' icon at the bottom right of the window and choose "Temporarily allow http://www.rentboy.com" which allows me to surf RentBoy without dudes stroking in the margins and all the ads between my search results. Just the guys!

 

Then, as I scroll through search results (the boys' ads), I right-click (or Ctrl-Click) on the photos and choose "Open Link in New Tab" from the pop-up menu. This opens each guy's full page in separate tabs of my Firefox browser.

 

My original search remains open as the first tab, then I can click on individual tabs deciding on who needs further examination and who to dismiss.

 

I find not getting all the ad crap and seeing each guy in their own tab far more satisfactory than depending on RentBoy's managing my lustful dalliances. I also don't have to wait for page loads because each tab loads while I'm still reviewing the search results.
