Took my annual cross country trip to Palm Springs starting last Thursday (1/28/10) going across Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri with a stop in St. Louis. Continued on Friday – roads all fine, clear of snow, etc. Until I reached Oklahoma around 1 pm. With apologies to Okie, I wonder whether Oklahoma has snow-removal equipment. None was in evidence where I was. Got to Tulsa and it really began to snow, but I decided to persevere and go on. Made it to Okie’s area later than expected, but made it without mishap. I then go to his home and get stuck turning to get there. Some very helpful young people (about 10) get me free. I then am welcomed with real hospitality by Okie.:)

Over pizza and beer, I was treated to the best and most titillating home movies I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing!:p There on an enormous widescreen TV (in hi-definition!) are David, Kristian, Romann, Alan Ladd, Andrew Justice, Stefano and a couple of inadvertent shots (in a mirror) of Okie himself filming. I want all of you to know these session dvd’s are for real and as hot or hotter than anything you may have seen in any commercial porn film. If I had been doing the filming, I would have expired on the spot. Thank you, Okie, for your hospitality and for the steamy show. It certainly warmed me up in cold and frozen Oklahoma.:D

The next day I continued on in Oklahoma – no more snowing, but the highways were a mess – one lane only (and that sometimes not so good) on I40 until Texas. From there on through New Mexico, Arizona and California it was clear and dry. I arrived safely yesterday (Monday) in my winter retreat in Palm Springs, ready to prepare for the Hooville Weekend in March.

Thank you again, Okie, for another memorable evening of food, viewing, and conversation. You are a master of your craft!:)

Oliver...You found out what I learned last year: Okie is one swell host, aint he? I hope you didn't see anything of me in those films from last summer. I may have been slightly nekkid in a couple of scenes that Okie was shooting and I tried my best to stay out of the frame, but.....Good thing I have no intention to run for public office because I know Okie has the secret tapes that would blow me out of the water! hahahaha!

I'm glad you made it across country safely albeit with some adventure along the way, and I look forward to seeing you next month. I am working on bringing a date to the Hooville weekend; negotiations are underway. ;)

Oliver I am so glad you had a great time at Okie's. Yes you have to be careful when you visit one of those states that cant cope with an inch of snow and temps get below 50. They start pulling in the sidewalks and thinking the world is coming to an end or they found another Bush to run for the presidency.

I am glad I now have proof that the dvd's exist. I keep looking in my mailbox for my copy but it is one excuse after another how cant figure out how to make a copy on his apple and he has to hire a team of engineers to help him. I mean it was just a few weeks ago he figured out how to lower the sound on the TV when I called, I had to send him a message that I would be calling so he could start the production of getting the TV ready for the sound to go down. I hear he has them in underground vault guarded by the most viscious of animals. I will just have to figure out how to get to Oklahoma.

Well at least he has good luck picking the right people for their roles on film and he is the best host.

. . . I keep looking in my mailbox for my copy but it is one excuse after another how cant figure out how to make a copy on his apple and he has to hire a team of engineers to help him. . . .

Copying DVD's on an Apple isn't too hard, but it's not a walk in the park either. I found a much easier way. A couple years ago, I got one of the last VHS/HDD/DVD recorders that Panasonic made. As long as the source material isn't copy protected, it's a breeze to make copies of just about anything.

A few weeks ago, a friend gave me a vintage VHS tape that he wanted to show to some folks who had never seen a VHS tape, let alone had a way to play it back. A few days later, I returned his VHS tape, along with four DVD copies. The DVD's make it much easier and faster to speed along to what you're looking for, and the freeze-frames are much more stable than VHS.

You can use a copy service too, but you'll have to be on the lookout for prying eyes, and they're not cheap.

As I happen to be the personification of cheap, I'd be glad to help out any of my Hoovillian friends who want copies of a treasured tape or DVD. As long as I get to keep a "reference" copy of the juicy ones! :)

Okie may be somewhat technologically challenged… but he certainly is not challenged by much else!

I'm being to think that OKIE has it all over "Dink Flamingo"! :D

LOL! (Classic BG!)
