Glad to see Jeff Bridges receive a Golden Globe last night for "Crazy Heart." There was a richly deserved standing ovation from the audience, which lead Jeff to say "Hey, you are ruining my under appreciated status!" He is still pretty sexy for sixty years old. But, Jeff was smokin' hot at age 21 in "The Last Picture Show" and other films like "Winter Kill" and "The Last American Hero." He was never afraid to do a nude scene back then.

Slightly off topic but not totally. Michael C Hall - what's with the knitted toque he wore? It almost looked like he was undergoing chemo for cancer. Is that the case? I hadn't heard.

Not really a Bridges fan, though I loved "The Last Picture Show" ... more the book than the movie... one of my favorite quotes..."Jacking off was an old game, but it always brought results." Truer words.

Thought he never looked better than in "Against All Odds"... a blonde that tans. Oh, my.

The Big Lebowski

I forgot to mention that I have never met a straight guy who did not love Jeff's film "The Big Lebowski." If I get stuck with a straight guy at a party or work-related conference I always bring up that movie.

Hall

Not to hijack the thread, but the issue came up. Michael C. Hall announced that his disease was diagnosed early enough for treatment and he's doing well - but chemo has made him bald at the moment. Winning the Golden Globe for best actor in a TV dramatic series must have been a morale booster.

Not to hijack the thread......

No problem. This thread is like Jeff's film career. If he wins the Academy Award for Best Actor, it may be partly because people are paying him back for giving good performances in 50 or so films and no one noticed. He is also lucky that this is not a great year for best actor performances.

Glad to help by mentioning "The Big Lebowski." Sure bet for a date with a straight guy.
