The last full week headliner was that handsome man Aaron Tanner. Since then the headliner link is gone from the site & there is no longer a list of upcomming performers.

Have they decided to drop this feature? I was curious if anyone knew.

When I was in San Francisco in April, I was talking to one of the clerks - I believe his name was Michael (he was about 5'8, he is hispanic with blonde streaked hair- very nice guy) He told me that starting sometime at the end of May or beginning of June that they were no longer going to be paying their headliners a fee for appearing and that they would no longer be paying for a hotel room for the week for the headliners either. I asked him if they would still be able to get good headliners and he said that with the amount of money that the dancers make in tips that they would still perform their and pay for their hotel room in addition to not getting paid a fee or performing there. He also told me that they were the only place in the city that did pay their headliners a fee and for their hotel room.

I have noticed on their website the lack of headliners there and I kind of wonder if they will see a decline in their business without quality headliners performing.

A week ago, Nob Hill Theatre didn't have a headliner, but they had a person we were told had performed at the Gaiety in NYC. His name was "Flash" and he was billed as the "special attaction." Some mention was made that his name in NYC was Kenneth or Kevin. His special thing was to wear a mask covering his face from his nose to his hairline. The mask was a reflective material in silver. He apparently entered the theater site masked up, very mysterious and hot. But he was a true "special attraction."

Perhaps 5-9, 22 yrs of age going on 16, very tight body. A blond beauty. He never took the mask off and never took his thong off, either. He entered the stage with his street clothes on, and stripped to his thong.

His dance style was the most unusual that I have ever seen. Although it may make him sound uncool, his dance style was what one might imagine Spiderman doing. But after a minute, it became hypnotic in the extreme. Has to be seen to be believed. Dances the whole time i the aisle more than lap dances.

Anyway, Nob Hill Theatre may or may not have discontinued the "headliner" concept, but they are having the "special attraction" concept. You can see Flash's picture on their website:

Since they no longer feature star performers, does that mean they're going to lower their rediculous $30.00 entrance fee?

yeah...right.

Dang, all good things must come to an end. First 'The Campus' discontinued star headliners a long time ago, now the Nob Hill. Whether or not they have 'special attractions', without any advance notice, the only people who will know about it are passersby who are already in SF. That does no good for LA boys like me, who could pop up there periodically - given a little advance notice. I guess the next time I go to SF it will be to see the bridge. Way to run a business Nob Hill!! And what an unceremonius end to a great tradition they had going for years!x(

I feel the same way. I live much farther than LA & am planning a trip to SF in the near future. I would have liked to seen a headliner along with the house guys; especially at $30 a ticket.

Now my trip will probably include one night there and a couple of nights at Club 220/New Meat/Campus since some of the guys I want to see dance at both places, why pay more? I would rather shove the cash in their g-string, or wherever :9

I just spent some time this very afternoon at the Nob Hill. Although the place is cleaner, it is much more tame - with only local talent about.

Bring back the old days!!!
