I like the premise, but the execution didn't hold my attention.

The performances were entertaining but the judges' comments went on and on and on and on and on and they never actually said anything useful. I found my attention wandering badly more during the judges' remarks than commercials, so I ended up not lasting until the end of the show.

I'm still trying to like the show. As I said, I love the entertainment.

I'm so bothered by the long-winded judging I just put a stopwatch on one of the go-rounds. For each group, singing: one minute twenty seconds, judging: over two minutes. Multiply the difference across five groups and the no-name judges are getting some major screen time! They're not what we're tuning in to watch!

The fact that I felt compelled to put a stopwatch on it tells me 1) I was actually bothered, 2) they really have the ratio wrong, and 3) I really need to get a life!

I love my DVR. I never watch shows "live" anymore. There's such joy recording a show and speeding through the commercials or in this case these stupid boring judges. I think the singing is fun. Nick is not too bad either. He's got a cute smile. Now I have to look down and find the bulge. Who was that dumb girl he was married to? Who cares....

I thought Nick looked incredible tonight - very Ivy League preppy with the black V neck sweater and tight black pants. My favorite look. He is one hot man! Too bad he never turns his back to the camera. I bet his ass looked wonderful in those pants.
