Yesterday I bought a ticket on Delta from Palm Springs to Newark for $220. Another poster informs me that Frontier Airlines is offering a ticket from LA to Philadelphia for $200. So, cattle car aside, yes, I'll go! $220 is what it costs to fly to San Francisco from Palm Springs!

 

Sure, they add for luggage now, but at least you pay for what you bring instead of what every one else is bringing.

Those do sound like good fares.

 

Have you used kayak.com? It searches all the airlines (except Southwest) and other sites like orbitz for the lowest fare for the dates selected.

I just paid $156 (tax, tip and dealer prep) for a one way from LaGuardia to Laredo, TX (don't ask) two days in advance of travel. Of course it departs at 5:30AM and all the other flights were in the $260 and up range.
