Gay Days 2002 Orlando was, for me, the most unbelievable fun 3-day party (or any party for that matter) that I have ever attended in my life.

There are parties and events galore, but I managed to stay fairly sane and pace myself, going only to what my group and I considered the best events. The first party we attended was Friday's Beach Ball at Typhoon Lagoon, a swim park. Most of the 5,000 guys wore only skimpy swimwear which helped enhanced the great music by Twilo's David Knapp. I may have been overdressed, but I have never been a beach fan...too much sand. Great music, beautiful people and everyone was in a festive mood.

Saturday was the official Gay Day at DisneyWorld. Actually unofficial if you ask the Disney People, even though the executives were grinning ear-to-ear because of all the money the gays were dumping on them.

Some of our party went, I had to work on some frigging website and stayed in my hotel all day. The reports from my friends was not exactly the happiest on earth. Apparently SOME gay people just do not care how embarrassing or vulgar they behave when they are in public even though they are surrounded by families with children. I'm sorry, but I think the flamers, screamers, drag queens and all who were shouting words that would embarrass even a Catholic priest when there are kids around make all of us look bad. Get a grip, girls!

Saturday night we did One Mighty Party at the Disney-MGM Studio Theme Park. This was private - open only to us, so outrageous behavior was totally acceptable. Our entourage got there early to snag an upclose parking spot and to scope out the park before the freak-show began. A few rides were open and we thrilled ourselves on them. By 12am the joint was throbbing with two major dance areas. Manny Lehman was spinning on the main dance floor, Joe Gauthrewaux on the other. The state of the art sound system was piped throughout the park, so matter where you went, there was dancing in the street. It was like the world's largest disco and undoubtedly the most outrageous and fun party I have ever been to. This party is a MUST!!!

That shut down at 3am. One park employee I spoke to said they were expecting over 6,000 people, but that was not the official count. We asked another employee if they were assigned to work or if they volunteered and she cheerily chirped that they all volunteer for Gay Days since it is one of the most fun events in the Magic Kingdom because everyone is sooooo nice. She didn't say anything about their saucer eyes, but all the Disney people were very, very cool.

For after hours each night we elected to do the Arabian nights party. I guess this arena is one of those eat-an-overcooked-a steak-and-watch a-joust-joint. The 5,000 square foot dance floor was packed SOLID with half naked (and some naked) hot sweaty men. Just maneuvering through the place was a major effort, but rubbing against all those bodies was a pleasure, indeed. Those parties continued till around 9am.

I was told that Orlando rakes in $90 MILLION over the Gay Days from sinful homosexuals alone. No wonder even the cops were smiling.

I saw a lot of porn performers including the engaging Matthew Rush and a lot of hunky guys performing porn on the dance floors. Also ran into a few major escorts including Justin Webb, Jason Rylee & Rodrigo from Boston, Devon from San Francisco, VegasBoy Dave from Nevada and a soon-to-be star Tristan who I will be telling you about soon. (Twink lovers, start your Christmas lay-away plan now. This blonde babe is gonna be a hit!) Athan & Kristian from Houston were planning on attending, but Kristian broke his arm jacking off that big dick of his and they canceled out.

Maybe some other people have some reports about other parties and stars. Once I get some sleep I may be able to relate some juicy details. Gay Days in Orlando is one event you can be sure I will attend next year -- and I have a year to work out in the gym so I won't look so portly without my shirt. :-)

Hooboy if I knew you were out there I would have come out to give you a big ole hug for "introducing" me to so many fine men.

And the Magic Kingdom this year decicded to refer to GAYDAY officially as "The First Saturday In June" (memos went out).

What a crock o' shit from a company that likes to spout off about it's "diversity" policies.

But glad you had fun...maybe I'll catch you next year :-)

AND DAMN I wished I'd run into Matthew Rush---repeatedly!!! :9

I definitely will return next year.

I forgot to mention that on Sunday night we went to the "Stars" party at Universal Studios. Maybe it was the third day blah's, but we all agreed it was just "okay" but $95 tickets should give you more than "okay." It was very hot (temperature & humidity) and jam packed. Long, long lines for beverages. The music (Tracy Young) was fine. In all fairness, we didn't get there till around 10:30pm, so we may have missed some things...

I talked to a guy in Orlando tonight who went to the Coliseum party at Universal Studios on Friday and he was raving that it was the best ever. Abel was spinning. Maybe he'll post something about it here so you can make your plans for next year.

Hey there,

Just arrived in Atlanta after staying over a couple extra days in Orlando. I worked, friends were hanging with us, Disney was so fucking humid & Universal rocked thanks to "cool chick" Liz who we struck up a conversation with in the Dueling Dragons line. She was staying at Portofino Bay & the gave her an Unlimited Fast Pass.<sweet>

Best part happened yesterday when PD arrested a fake Saudi prince who was actually a guy from Miami for assuming a fake identity. Cops everywhere while we stood outside our hotel. Press ready to go. Dude came out in cuffs & yapped a statement about an Embassy, his lawyer & American Express. Amex busted his ass after he bought out Prime Outlets. He had a convertible Mercedes SL-500 & had bills & charges in excess of 1 mil. Sheraton Studio City 21st floor was choas. lol

Hope everyone had a great time too,

John
