When I first wandered onto the Internet in 1999, I found a website for an escort whom I had hired several times between 1982 and 1989. I'm sure some of you could cite similar examples of longtime escorts. But, what do you think is the length of a normal escort career? Now that escorting is becoming more of a regular business, including support sites like this one, are guys settling in the field longer?

I forget which trail I followed, but it began in this forum. It lead to an interesting 'how to escort' page written by escorts for escorts. If I remember correctly it said that the peak ages were 18-32 and that most career escorts retired at around 42.

I think escorting "leaves" some of those younger kids rather than them leaving escorting. If they are lucky and smart, it is perhaps a mutual decision.

 

I am all for encouraging those who wish to continue to do so, because I am a strong believer in trying to do something that one likes to do. It isn't always possible and there is no perfect job, profession or career but if one gets up with dread every day, it is time to make a change if at all possible.

 

As far as longer term "career" escorts, I think they can continue until "letting it all hang out" takes on an entirely different meaning.
