A question for those of you who live in NYC - when are the leaves in Central Park at their peak for autumn color? :)

I'm planning to visit there probably the weekend of November 7 or maybe November 14 - not sure yet. Would there still be color on the trees then or too late? ;)

Thanks!

Having lived in NYC my entire life, I always thought the leaves on the trees here just kinda give up and fall off. LOL

Yes, there is foilage to be seen for sure in CP, and early to mid-November is a good time. Much depends on the weather and how cool it gets. The Weather Channel does periodic reports on the autumn fall foliage season, so you might check with their forecasts.

Enjoy!

I'm planning on being there the week following Thanksgiving. All the leaves will be gone by then...? Will there be snow? =)

I've been told that it also depends on how much rain we get during early autumn. We had a very dry September, but what impact that has.

And Leo, don't worry about snow during your visit. There's rarely ever more than a dusting in November and early December.

City of blinding lights

For Leo, Lucky, and others who are going to be in NYC soon or BG living in NYC..

Writtten By U2/Bono

Look at this, that is wild, what a sight

(what's this?)

Sometimes you forget why it was you wanted to be in a band

And, so going into this we reminded ourself why we wanted to be in a band

We listened to the albums that excited us when we wanted to be in a band, and the music

And, and what it felt like, to arrive here in the United States

Come over the bridge, into uh, Manhattan

(Sn- The) snow was on the ground, and eh,

Amazing, magical time in our life, when we didn't know how powerful

It was not to know

This is a song about innocence, naivete, and uh...

It's called City of Blinding Lights

And the chorus is set in New York City, looking at Brooklyn

The more you know the less you sing

The less you find out as you go

I knew much more then than I do now

Neon heart, dayglo eyes

A city lit by fireflies

They're advertising in the skies

For people like us

And I miss you when you're not around

I'm getting ready to leave the ground

Oh you look so beautiful tonight

With the city of blinding lights

Don't look before you laugh

Look ugly in a photograph

Flash bulbs purple irises

The camera can't see

I've seen you walk unafraid

I've seen you in the clothes you made

Can you see the beauty inside of me?

What happened to the beauty I had inside of me?

And I miss you when you're not around

I, I'm getting ready to leave the ground

Oh you look so beautiful tonight

Yeah this city of blinding lights (check it out)

Time... time

Time... time

Time won't leave me as I am / Time

But time won't take the boy out of this man / Time

Oh you look so beautiful tonight

Oh you look so beautiful tonight

Oh you look so beautiful tonight

This city of blinding lights

The more you know the less you feel

Some pray for others steal

Blessings not just for the ones who kneel.... luckily

Luckily, luckily

Blessings, Lord praise it, blessings...
