Anyone have any experience with Mark in Chicago?

http://maleescorts.zeetfleet.com/mark6524.htm

He's got an intriguing marketing strategy--posts in the "men seeking men" area or Craig's List purporting to be looking for a hook up, then sends a link to his escort site when you respond.

But I guess since the "erotic services" area of CL was shut down, a boy's gotta do what a boy's gotta do to advertise.

Anyone familiar with him?

When I looked at the ad it said he was in San Diego, which is where I live. I'm guessing that the "ad" is using information from your IP address to determine where you live and populates the city based on that.

Scam

Probably so!

Now the funny thing is that the town that popped up is a very small town on the East Coast that has a sizable naval/coast guard population...

Interesting!

The location given on the posting you gave is Orem. There is an Orem Utah. Sounds like BYU (university police are at it again)

No, BYU isn't up to anything. It's scam to get you to join a verifcation service...most likely unauthorized charges will appear on your cell phone bill, since the ad doesn't request a CC number.

As pointed out in post #3, the location listed in the ad seems to be based on the location of your Internet Service Provider. When poster #3 clicks on the ad, he gets San Diego. When I click on the ad, I get Boca Raton...not the Florida city in which I reside...but the Florida city in which my ISP servers reside. Apparetnly, your ISP is in or near Orem, UT. So BYU is in the clear on this one.
