I liked Susan better--but there is no denying that this guy has talent. I hope he goes far.

I agree that they are at opposite ends in their kind of music - country vs. show tunes. I do think it's fair to say that they both had an initial appearance that turned off both the judges and the audience. In both cases, they were a big surprise. So the comparison is really based on "Don't judge a book by its cover."

I think you're missing the point. Gar1eth stated that he prefered the western singer. Period. There was no mention about their initial appearances turning off the judges, in his post. So what you said above just does not make any sense.

I looked at what Gar1eth said. My response to you had nothing to do with what he said. I was responding to your statement. I also never said Gar1eth mentioned their initial appearance turning off the judges. But it happens to be a fact. I was merely stating what they had in common when they first came out on the stage.

 

Therefore, my statement makes perfect sense. I think you're confused about who's missing the point. Please read more carefully before you state someone makes no sense.
