Is It Possible To Be Too Pretty?

Entertainment Weekly tells me that Jean Cocteau's wondrous version of Beauty and the Beast is going to be reissued sometime in June, or, as the French might put it, sometime in Juin. Was it Garbo (just mentioned on another thread) who is said to have looked at the admittedly very attractive, but comparatively insipid cute pretty prince that the male half of the romance had just turned into and cried out, "Bring me back my Beast!!" (Retornais moi mon Bette! - ?) Evidently, she would have thought, at least on occaision, that yes, a man can be too stereotypically pretty, or at least not as attractive as a more unique paramour had been.

 

And if you've never seen that movie, See It!! And then let's discuss candleabra for this bear's new den. :9
