Non smoking Las Vegas

I think I remember a while back in parts of Vegas they were trying to do the whole no smoking thing. What does that all apply to? Also since it's been forever since I've been down there aren't there or maybe I am being a bit optimistic non smoking gaming areas in the casinos?

Smoking in Vegas

 

Nevada went non-smoking in public facilities in Jan of 2007, EXCEPT for bars and casino gaming areas. Restaurants adjacent to gaming areas are supposed to be non-smoking, but I saw quite a bit of looking the other way last time I was in Reno. Some casinos are providing some non-smoking gaming areas, but seems hit or miss. Also if the next table is smoking, it's still a problem. This link gives a casino by casino list of smoke-free gaming areas. Not sure how up-to-date it is though.

Steve thanks for the link. There are some options but kind of slim pickins unless one plays poker which I do not. Looks like I might need to learn to play.

I was in Vegas last week and stayed at Luxor. The smell of cigarette smoke was pretty strong in the casino area, but we stayed on the 14th floor of the pyramid, where it was unnoticeable.
