The movie that I recently saw and most liked is Sin Nombre, sort of the opposite of Slumdog Millionaire. It's about the hard lives of the poor, especially certain ones who try to make the trek to America. And it's awfully well-done. With its shirtless gangsters, it's sexier than Slumdog, at least for a gay guy. But ultimately, pretty depressing.

I hated Monsters & Aliens, and didn't like Duplicity. I think that covers the last three movies I have seen.

Cooper has just posted this when we decided to creat a new thread:

"Currently, there aren't too many new movies in the theaters that I'd recommend, however, today I saw "Two Lovers" and enjoyed it very much... After seeing Joaquin Phoenix's performance, I hope he won't be giving up his acting for his music career. He did an outstanding job. Also putting in a good performance was Gwyneth Paltrow."

I forgot that I also saw I Love You Man. I didn't care for Paul Rudd's character, but I did like Sidney, his buddy, of sorts.

Ashamedly admitting

My nephew and niece are down visiting for the holiday and last evening we watched High School Musical 3. I confess I haven't seen the first two, although I have heard and seen a bit a the fanfare around the two leads. I was actually very surprised with both the choreography, musical content, and the simple ableit predicable storyline. These "kids" were working it hard and I thought did a great job. Not the least of which is ashamedly admitting Zac Efron is a man with many talents including a great, hot body!
