Where to get the best responses?

I was going to post this in the escort section but also wanted to get client feedback as well.

 

A little while back, I asked "what was the best place for escorts to place their ads online" and got some great responses.

 

I wanted to expand on that issue to find out which places were most effective in terms of actually getting responses back.

 

This can be in terms of quantity but more specifically in terms of quality (responses that actually turned into an appointment, after all what could is quantity if you don't get any appointments out of it.) In other words which sites were most effective in actually getting you business.

 

This can include the regular escort sites rentboy.com, americanmale.net, etc but also whether places that let you create your own website such as hometown.aol.com or your own homepage was more effective.

 

Also wanted clients to respond as to where they tend to look most frequently for escorts or where they found the most quality escorts.

I've been helping a guy out. I made him a website. He advertised on rentboy.com.

 

He got mail from rentboy.com about a rate increase almost immediately but when he pointed out that he hadn't made a single dollar from the ad they backed down on the increase.

 

You wanna know where his most qualified contacts have come from (i.e. the mostly likely to actually come through)?

 

Right here. In the travel section.

 

I keep telling him he needs to get a review here. I'd write it but only if it's honest and we're both tops so it ain't gonna happen.

 

And this is like the 3rd time I've seen this happen. The guys advertise on the established sites but nothing happens until they show up here.

 

For now, Woody is getting NO business from paid advertising on rentboy.com and free advertising elsewhere. Most of the guys who contact him came from the travel section of the Message Center here.

I have responded to this question before and my answer remains the same. Sites such as meet local men, rent boy and even my new current favorite, male prime, which charge the escorts to advertise, are probably not a good investment for the escort who is trying to establish himself. I also find the new version of rent boy to be confusing and difficult to navigate unless one is specifically looking for someone by name. If you are Rick Munroe, Ted Matthews, or someone else with an estabished name, it's highly unlikely you really need to be found this way. The escorts who would be harder to find are the ones for whom the search feature is far from useable.

 

http://www.maleprime.com is nice and clean. As it gets more popular, it will also need to go to a solution such as Rent Boy which may lessen the appeal. However, there are a number of free sites your friend should try.

 

In my personal instance, I would say it is a mix. Half of my contacts that turn into clients come from AOL chat rooms, 10 - 20 percent come to me from escort sites, most predominantly ENDOWED ESCORTS and the final third from this particular site. However, I find that a mixture of things "seals the deal." Often, sending someone the link to my reviews here when I receive an inquiry from http://www.endowedescorts.com or from http://www.guys-4-rent.com is what it takes to get the client to commit. Other times it is simply photographs.

 

AOL hometown pages have a complete limit as to how sensual or erotic you might be and as clients want to see "the beef" such a profile page may often be a waste of time. I like a site such as my own, gaydar, pixxcity, ofoto, homestead, geocities or any other number of sites which will allow provocative photographs.
