Has anyone seen any good movies lately that they could recommend? The last one I saw was "Amelie."

It was one of the most original and entertaining movies that I've seen in long time. (They don't make movies like that here in the US anymore. That's why I love foreign films.)

I was thinking about seeing the new Jodie Foster movie "Panic Room." I here it is great?

So, any suggestions? :-)

Saw Panic Room. It was way too predictable and at no point was I the least bit scared or surprised. So much for scarey movies.........

I rented Hiest a few nights ago. Not earth shattering though it was entertaining.

There are a few films being released on video possibly DVD in June. To date these films have only played festivals and very limited arthouse engagements. Most notably L.I.E. (June 4)and finally a US release of Speedway Junky (June 11).

Cheers! Ritchie

I loved every frame of "The Count of Monte Cristo." One of the most entertaining films I've seen in years. And wait till you see the Count get whipped! Poor guy -- he gets lashed only once a year.

Well, I saw the trailers to "Spiderman" and they seem quite good (but then I am a comicbook fan.) I think it is suppose to come out May 3.

I also tend to wait until something is out on video or DVD.

[i/]My Life As A House [/i]was exceedingly predictable but for those of you who like your twinks young and freshly baked, you will probably like the young man who played the son who is also in the upcoming Star Wars release.

I personally am more interested in the new Star Trek movie than I am in Star Wars .... and I strongly urge those with DVD's to rent and see in full screen capacity A.I. A very promising, but nonetheless failed attempt, to make a truly good movie.

If you cannot be with the one you love, rent a hardcore film....

Hey John:

Overlook the monotone voice and check out Mr. Paxton's pecs and fully stuffed crotch. There's more than one way to truly enjoy his acting.

Glad to see you're on your way to Houston.

RE: Bill Paxton -- Used to put me to sleep too. Then one night I caught "Boxing Helena." Early on, Mr. Paxton appears shirtless in leather pants. He's got a hot, hairy, pumped chest and arms. Then he does a nudie, says something about "Playing with Daddy" while glancing down at his crotch. If you freeze frame, look quick, you can see Daddy's stem. Since then, I've had a new respect for Mr. Paxton and his "daddy."

Memento - good movie, and Guy Pearce is ALWAYS hot

RE: Video

Did you see Aliens? I thought Bill Paxton was hot as a foul-mouthed, freaked-out, space marine.

"Game Over, Man!"

p.s. Have you ever heard him sing with his band, Martini Ranch? No monotone there.

Spent a rainy Sat afternoon at a matinee. Saw "Changing Lanes" with Ben Affleck. Good Lord but that guy is a hottie. He never showed a glimpse of skin in this flick but who cares - I think he looks even hotter in a business suit (He plays the part of a corporate attorney)

And, as a bonus - the movie was above average too.

I second the recommendation for "Y Tu Mamá También." One of the best movies I've seen in a while. Even without all the male frontal nudity it would've been good!

Affleck didn't show any skin in "Pearl Harbor" either. Maybe he has "MATT" tatooed on his left pec. Who wouldn't pay to get sandwiched between those two?

Or on his left cheek ;-) Wouldn't that be a hoot?

Now that's what I call a clubhouse

Log on to <<www.imdb.com>> (Internet movie data base), search for any of Allfeck's pics. There should be a link to stills of the hot Mr. A. Some shirtless shots are really turn ons. You have to wonder who the come looks are meant to attract. Not Gwynneth, me thinks.

Matt Damon's bitch

The movie with Sandra Bullock, the one where Ben Afflek is on his way to marry the woman who is not his true love, has a scene in it where she is going to strip to make money so they can get out of a jam, but it turns out to be a gay bar and the bartender suggests that Ben should do the trouser dropping -- which he does. Personally, those legs and waist line, especially in those boxers, did nothing for me, but who am I to deny a man the simple pleasures of the flesh -- even if it is only on videotape?

There is also an issue of GQ or Details with him on the cover and/or inside shirtless.

If you cannot be with the one you love, love the man who is a fountain of worthless trivia.

I saw "Frailty" this weekend. Found it entertaining but it will never be nominated for an Oscar in ANY catagory. Also slightly confusiong and with a couple of major plot holes.

We were treated to zero of Mr. Paxtons pecs. and even less of his crotch. Just didn't happen.

Was mildly surprised to see in the credits that he was also the director.

I know it's been out for a while, but I was busy. Won't look like it if you look at the availability chart on my site today because I just updated it and there are a lot of available evenings now! Anyway, you know already that Ice Age is going to be nominated for the best animated film oscar next year, and, in case you don't already know, it deserves it!

Yes, it's perhaps too lighthearted for some people on this thread, but then a lot of y'all's suggestions sound a bit cry in your beer time for me.
