Portuguese/Spanish for Saunas/Escorts - What Berlitz Doesn't Teach You!

In response to popular requests, here's a handy vocabulary list in Portuguese and Spanish. I hope other M4Mers will contribute to this, too, especially native speakers like Carlo, Ernani and RobertoBA!

 

PORTUGUESE:

 

to lick - lamber

 

to suck - chupar

 

to fuck - foder; fuder

 

to kiss - beijar

 

to come - gozar

 

ass hole - cú

 

butt/buns - bunda

 

cum - porra/leite (in the South and Southeast); gala (in Northeastern Brazil)

 

would you like....? - você quer/você gostaria de...?

 

do you like. . .? - você gosta de. . .

 

to rim: there's really no exact Portuguese equivalent. If they're into it, they'll do it. You can give them an idea by doing it on them yourself. You could try using "lamber" or "beijar o cú".

to top/to fuck someone - comer (much in use, lately)

 

to bottom/to get fucked - dar (also much in use, lately)

 

cock - pau, cacete, pinto, piroca, pica, caralho (just the most common of a nearly infinite variety of Brazilian slang words for cock; "caralho" is used a lot in Portugal)

 

big cock - pauzão, cacetão, pirocão, picão, caralhão, jeba, mastro

 

well-hung - pauzudo, picudo, pirocudo, cacetudo, graúdo, bem dotado

 

a well-hung guy - jumento, tripé

 

stud - garanhão

 

basket (as in a guy's pants) - volume, mala

Those phrases are very helpful. What about some phrases that don't necessarily reflect sexual conotations. Such as

A couple of comments as a native Spanish speaker (from South America). I would think the "você" form is too formal especially by the time you are asking someone for sex.

In response to the above:

 

To avoid overburdening the site and thread, I'd like to limit this section of the FAQ to words and expressions that aren't found in a standard phrase book. For this reason, I'm not posting a response to World Traveler's request. Additionally, all of the questions in his request would lead to fairly extended conversations that might be beyond the grasp of a person who otherwise doesn't speak Portuguese or Spanish. Again, I strongly recommend buying a Berlitz phrase book to use while you're travelling. They're pocket-sized and quite thorough and should get you through most common situations. By adding a pocket-sized dictionary (the Collins Gem series are excellent) you should have all you need to be able to communicate during a visit. Of course, studying the language and taking some lessons before you go would be even better!

 

DickHo: In Brazil, "você" IS the standard form of address in the familiar. The polite form (equivalent to "Usted" in Spanish) is formed using the third person, in which the person being addressed is referred to as "o senhor" or "a senhora." (As in "O senhor quer jantar agora?" or "Would the gentleman like to have dinner now?") "Tu" exists in Portuguese. It is widely used in Portugal (and I suppose in Portuguese-speaking Africa, where usage is more similar to European Portuguese). In Brazil, "tu" is only used commonly in Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state (capital city is Porto Alegre) which borders Argentina and Uruguay, where the influence of Spanish is stronger in the pronunciation and vocabulary. In the rest of Brazil, "tu" is used infrequently, and when it is the subject noun or pronoun and the verb form often get mixed up, with a "tu" expression taking the "você" verb ending, or vice-versa. For a Spanish-speaker, it takes some getting used to. But no more so than learning the River Plate "vos" form, which at first was difficult and confusing for me because I grew up speaking Mexican Spanish where, of course, that form doesn't exist. (In fact, the first time I went to Argentina and used the "tu" form talking with people they told me I didn't need to be formal and that I could address them as "vos." I had to reply that I wasn't being formal or distant because I used "tu," I just didn't know how to use the "vos" form! I've learned since then!)

That's a great and comprehensive list, tri - thanks! The Lonely Planet Brazilian Portuguese phrase book is useful, too, and has quite a lot of dating/sex phrases. The only problem is that it's hard to find in bookstores, but you can get it on Amazon.

A few other expressions...

 

As most useful expressions were already mentioned by our good Trilingual... I will just put down a couple of expressions that I didn't see there:

 

Boquete = blow job

Cunete = rimming

Pagar boquete = give a blow job

Foquinha = to suck more than one cock at a time (very common in Elite during Carnival time)

 

As for the usage of Você, as Trilingual mentioned, it's the casual way of treating people now... but it usedn't to be in the colonial time... for it is a shortening of a very cerimonious treatment: Vossa Mercê (Your mercy) which became vosmecê, and then você... The cerimonial treatment that we use now are are the vocatives: O senhor (when addressing a gentleman) and A senhora, (when addressing a lady).

Yes, "peru" is one of the seemingly endless slang words for cock in Brazilian Portuguese.
