Montreal after all..

Ok.. details worked out afterall.. Will arrive in Montreal on Wed April 1, and depart on Mon April 6... Got a great deal on the Hyatt on priceline...$50 per nite...

 

My travel buddy Tx Alphadog will be meeting me there..Anyone else have any plans to be in Montreal during those days? Would love to meet up and compare notes, share a meal, and see the sights...

 

If has been almost a year since my last trip to Montreal...Can't wait..only 4 1/2 more weeks...

Just for your info - was at Taboo a week ago and it is dead! New DJ, all new dancers (the previous ones are almost all at Adonis) and no customers!

Dead because very few dancers, too few customers, or both?

 

Any additional information on the new dancers would be appreciated.

 

Those of us who've been around for a while can recall a similar time some years ago (2005? -- I'm too lazy to go searching for the posts) when Taboo "died" and was replaced by L'Adonis as the twink club of choice. I wonder if there's a Law of Conservation of Twink Dancers at work here -- the number of worthwhile dancers at Taboo and L'Adonis is a constant :-).

Montreal recommendations

 

Anyone have any recommendations for Montreal "company"? I prefer, young, slim, smooth guys who are versatile tops, and enjoy kissing. I have hired Johnny several times in the past. I met Kevin6669 when he was dancing at Campus on my last visit. Any other guys, either independants or with agencies such as tendermoments4u? How about any dancers who have performed well in off premise encounters? I do realize though that a dancer's performance can vary greatly, depending on time of day, his mood, the color of the sky, etc, etc, etc.

Hi. I was in Montreal the weekend of February 14 and agree that (although I only stopped in once), Taboo was dead. I could only see 4 dancers, and that was a Saturday night. L'Adonis did seem to be hopping, but I am more of a Stock guy so I didn't stay long.

Montreal Update

 

Went out last night to Stock and Campus - what a difference! I had to ask myself if I was jaded or if all the Stock dancers looked the same. My collegue responded that being jaded would be a step down for me! In any case, what will it take to get some dancers at Stock who can dance? Is the old "step-slide" really enough after 10 dancers in a row had no new ideas? Even the eternal Mikael, who previously did break dancing on stage and is a former Stock Idol winner, is now just walking out, showing his stuff and strutting back into oblivion. Where's the show? There were no slow dance songs in the music, just slightly slower hip-hop numbers. I guess you don't have to slow dance of any quality when the music isn't really getting anyone into it...makes it easier for those with little talent other than what's between their legs...

 

After not really liking any of the dancers, or the music, lor the cover charge, or the beer (they don't have Labatt products) at Stock, we headed to Campus for a nice Blue Dry. Dancers were mixed from very muscular down to twinks. Very nice variety. Josh, a past dancer at Campus was back - but didn't have a chance to say anything to him. Doesn't look like the years have passed in his case - lucky bastard!

 

Tars was there to promote his new show in the Montreal art world, http://www.cerrado-art.com/, he seems to be more interested in that now than dancing - good for him!

 

Sammy wasn't waiting tables; he was behind the bar. He generated a few whoops when he took off his shirt but he was so far away - you know what they say, nothing beats the front row!

 

All in all at Campus, something for everyone, good music, and the usual antics in the back...

Adonis

 

Went to Adonis last Friday night around 18:00, curtains are gone!! Spoke to the DJ who promised they would be back within about a month, only much shorter. Apparently some indiscretions had been uncovered, what a shocker!

 

In any case, the dancers seem to have realized this and many are avoiding the place in the meantime - not a good situation for the ritual $20, I imagine most customers are going for the $10 tease.

 

Tigidou was there but not many dancers. When the DJ is the cutest guy there you know the place has got problems!

 

P.S. Stopped for a drink at Campus before, still hopping!

Campus and Adonis

 

I was at Campus and Adonis yesterday afternoon/evening as well. Lots of new dancers at Campus, many very beautiful and fun to talk with. Left there around 8:15 pm with a younger friend and stopped in at Adonis. At that hour the place was pretty full, and there were about 10 dancers. Some left at the 9 pm shift change; some new ones arrived then. Had I not been with my friend, I might have tried out a couple of them in back. In short, a much better selection at 8:30 than M-spoiled saw at 6.

 

Hope to write a fuller report when my just-started trip is over, but no promises.

What?? has the rotation of the earth shifted??? Newatthis is not to be found in his usual nighttime seat at Taboo?

 

I take it that previous posters have not exagerated the fact that Taboo is now in a "down cycle' while Adonis is on the upswing.

 

Only 9 more days until I make my return the Montreal.. Tell the boys to get ready..
