Is this an indicator of the action or lack of action in the Montreal strip bars?? There has been very little reporting recently of what's going on up there. Any reports of recent visits or reports from folks who live in Montreal would be greatly appreciated. I was considering a trip late this month or early in December, but winter has arrived early and I'm not keen to drive in snow and/or ice and wonder what the sidewalks/streets are like in Montreal. Lower gas prices and the improvement of the US dollar tempt me :))

For my money a snowy Montreal (especially around Xmas) is the best time to be there. Friends of mine are going to the sun of Palm Springs for Xmas and have asked to join them. I said Thanks but No Thanks. I'm planning to go to Montreal and Vermont instead.

In the past, many Stock dancers have voiced their opinion that the winner of Mr. Stock was "pre-selected;" thus their efforts seemed meaningless (and ego bruising, as well).

I have always enjoyed the "competition," but I can certainly understand why many dancers would choose not to participate.

Yes, the past administration may have been guilty of pre-selection of the winner, but I am convinced that the current administration used a fair voting system to select the last winner, Mr. Stock 2007.

I have no doubt that last year's winner was decided fair and square, even thought it was probably by a slim margin.

I do think however, that Alexis deserves another crack at the Stock Idol crown this year. He put in alot of effort into the contest last year and was very disappointed when he lost.

It's hard to believe that none of them are interested in winning the sizeable ($5000 last year) top prize!

Rendie-

Thank you for posting that picture! And I agree: Alexis put a lot of effort into the competition last year.

I will miss it this year!

Now, can anyone fill in (and order) this list of past Mr. Stocks? I wish I had photos...
