Bars or Clubs in NYC for "over 40 men"

I know there are no Gaiety style strip clubs left in Manhattan, but was wondering if any who live or know the area could reccomend a club where men just over 40 would feel comfortbale in that environment.

I mean a pick up place with a nice cruisy atmostphere.

If you exclude leather and the bear scene, probably the best gay bar for the over-40 set in NYC is the Town House, located on East 58th St. between Third and Second. It is fairly cruisy and has 3 bars -- a fairly standard front bar, a piano bar in the back, and on the floor below, a smaller, darker bar dominated by a video screen, which will be playing the bartender's favorites -- one likes the soft porn muscle videos, another Broadway tune videos, another baseball (though mercifully we are out of season now). The clientele tend to be dressier than in many gay bars.

 

There used to be a fairly active upscale escort/hustler element but the management has been trying to exclude it. If it goes on, it is pretty discreet.

I went to the BigLug in the East Village on the Saturday night before New Years Eve with a friend.At 11pm there were only 3 other people in the bar besides mt bud and I.It's a nice space so I hope it develops into a busy place.
