Splash,Avalon and 3 other clubs were closed by the city citing illegal activities going on in them.

This is no April Fools joke, here's what the NY Post reported on the sting operation at Chelsea bars.

Barry: I'm not familiar with all the clubs, but Chelsea is home to many gay clubs/bars.

 

The 5 Clubs raided and closed in Chelsea are:

 

1. Club Deep, ?

2. View, gay

3. Splash, most popular gay bar in NYC

4. Avalon, mixed

5. Spirit, ?

 

Not closed but issued a restraining order, and can stay open:

 

Club Speed, on W 39th St, cops allegedly were offered sex for money, and spotted drug use.

 

Steel Gym, on E 23rd St., undercover cops reported buying the drug crystal meth.

 

Perhaps someone else is familiar with the other clubs.

Spirit, where cops said they witnessed assaults, including a stabbing; alcohol being served to minors, as well as drug use and sales, is also a gay bar. It's located on W. 27th St. http://www.jblair.com

IMHO..I never did visit a Club called "Discrete" in NYC very often.

 

The Druggie Crowd , is definitely way out of hand!

 

But then again, how many could afford the "Booze Prices" in most of these Places, for more than 3 Drinks. LOL :P

LI.. Great to Hear! The thought of all those Queens & Princesses.. "Roaming" Up & Down 8th Ave on a Balmy Sat Nite, NO place to go, is pretty Scarey!

 

SBNY... was always run well, The Drug Problem isn't easy to deal with, especially in a very Crowded Bar, Plus the Politic's of it all!

 

Youth is Definitely Wasted on The Young! LOL :P
