I'm curious what New Yorkers feel about the Tribute in Light display at the WTC site?

It's better to light a candle than curse the darkness.

I got out last night from a meeting in a village turned onto 7th Avenue and saw the two streams of light spanning skyward. My thoughts were,"They're awfully skinny."

I liked the concept but the execution, eh.

I was both startled and thrilled when I saw the towers of light last night. They made me feel like we were sending a message to the universe, like the Whos down in Whoville, saying "We are here. We are here. We are still here!"

I laughed, I cried, it became a part of me.

My walk home to and from the train station takes me past a park that overlooks lower Manhattan. Last night, I walked by just as an interfaith memorial service began. I wasn't planning on staying, but I'm glad I did. It ended just as the lights were turned on. It was very moving.

I saw the lights as i was driving home tonight and i must admit i thought it looked pretty cool, and its an original way of remembering what happened on that day and those who aren't here any more, just one tiny thought crossed my mind which made me smile ,i couldn't help thinking of Batman......;-)
