Over the Easter weekend, I was walking past the Stock and saw yellow ribbon around the front of the building. There were huge pieces of cement from window ledges lying scattered over the sidewalk. If anyone had been standing or walking on the sidewalk when they fell, they could have been killed or seriously injured. What amazed me was that the building had just undergone exterior renovations to the entire facade, with a lot of brickwork replaced. The scaffolding had just come down a few days earlier. Incredible! (so much for building inspectors!)

Anyway, none of this changes the situation regarding the liquor licence. One dancer told me the owner is doing very well on the cam sex stuff so maybe he doesn't need to sell much liquor. :+

Why suddenly all this bad news about Le Stock. I'll be heading to Montreal in a week and Stock is my favorite bar. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that everything will work out. Is there any talk of a metro strike? :-)
