Spam from Mikeriodejaneiro

mikeriodejaneiro signed up as a member today and immediately proceeded to send me an advertisement on the private message system. I thought this was one place where we could be free from spam. At least one other person got the same spam.

I replied to him that it annoyed me, but he has not responded.

Has anyone else received this? Do you think that people who want to advertise on this site should pay for an ad? When you go to your mailbox, do you want to read spam or notes from other members?

Creative use of the message center will always be possible. (Yes my tounge is firmly in cheek, I just won't say who's.)

Frankly, I think using the private message system for SPAM is cause for account termination, but that's just the Atilla the Hun tendency in me. Maybe he just needs a good talking to (yelling at?).
