Sounds like a great place. Wish they had it when I used to live there, as the only thing out that way was NuTowne. Is that still open? I like NuTowne, but it was a long haul from center city where I lived.

 

Are the dancers there mostly straight? Is it a lap dance bar with privates (somehow that doesn't seem possible in Phoenix)? Or is it a true dance boy bar, where you cop a feel when tipping the boys (that's the kind I like). Are the dancers available for action outside the club?

 

Yeah, I know a lot of questions, but I'll probably be in Phoenix later this year and want to check this place out. Thanks.

Not sure what's become of NuTowne. They may still be there, or may have folded. I was there once or twice, but it has been ages Will try to find out for you.

It appeared to me that many are gay. The manager is clearly gay, and seems to know his clientele well. Based on what I saw, it would appear a fair number are gay, but not all. The dancers do appear available for action outside the club. (A couple asked me if I were interested.) Most people appeared to just be tossing their money on the stage, but one dancer was all over one particular patron during a dance.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my questions. I really appreciate it. NuTowne was there when I left which was 3 years ago. It would be cool to meet you, as you do like BN which says a lot for you. I'll probably be out that way in the fall when it cools down some. I sure don't miss that summer heat!

So how far can you go with the dancers either during the lapdances or the privates? Are the privates in full view of everyone else, or are they really private?

 

Is this like Taboo or the way Campus used to be in SF, where almost anything goes?

Got invited out by a bunch of my 20-something friends to Dick's Caberet tonight. Brand new place, just opened. The address is approximately 3611 E. Van Buren in Phoenix. The location is a former female strip club. Apparently, it is operated by a group of people who used to run the old Hideout Caberet here.

 

Nice facility. Big, roomy, spacious. Sort of feels like a comfy living room. The seating is all living room style furniture. There are big, overstuffed wing chairs to sit on, big tables for drinks and mirrored walls. Around the perimieter are leather couches, which are the "private show" areas.

 

There is a large stage, a lighting rig that rivals what you'd find in a small night club and a big stage with a runway out in to the crowd area. The stage is raised just enough, like around 3' or so. The facilities are very nice. Certainly the nicest male strip club I've ever been in.

Don't know anything about Dick's but Nutowne is still going and going and going.

 

If you are into twinks there is a strip show at Pumphouse II on Thursday's that's interesting. No they don't take it all off but it's sure fun watching them get down to next to nothing... and swinging on the strip pole!.

 

If you are into more masculine men stripping but not taking it all off try Buddy's also on Thursday's.

 

Pumphouse is located at 4132 E McDowell and Buddy's is at 1560 E Osborn.

 

If you are visiting Phoenix I recomment visiting both - More of the neighborhood type of establishments than the prance and pose of the dance clubs.

I went to Dick's the first week in May, just before I went to Vancouver. I had a great time. The boys were funand very naked. I had written a fairly long review and just as I was about to post it, my DSL server went out and I lost the post. I had to run and could not re-post it right away. Here is the second attempt.

 

We went on a Thursday evening, and while the boys were great, there was a small crowd. There was basically a variety of guys from a buff blond BB (my personal favorite) to slim Hispanics. This is definitely not Montreal, but fun nonetheless. There is a $15 cover charge.

 

Dick's does not serve alcohol so be prepared to pay $3 for a coke or fruit juice. It is clean and comfortable, and there is no pressure to tip or buy a table dance. Each of the guys stripped naked and a few got semi-hard (not like Montreal). Dick's is more of a soft core version of the Montreal strip clubs.

 

Every Thursday they have a body painting contest. The guys sell raffle tickets for $2 and at midnight, each draws a ticket, and the winning holder gets to body paint a dancer. Then the audience picks the best paint job, and the winning painter get a half hour table dance in the VIP section of the cabaret.

 

First I won the privilidge of painting a dancer (I invested in 5 raffle tickets). The dancer that I got to paint was my blond BB stud. I am still having dreams of that boys incredible body. Needless to say, I gave him a very through paint job, and he won the contest. I then won the half an hour with him, compltely naked, crawling all over me. I could not insert anything or give him head, but everything else was cool. I especially enjoyed it when he stuck his ass in my face. I asked if he did privates and he said that the management did not allow it. I really do suspect however that once a guy gets to know you, that it would be possible.

 

Dick's is a fun place, and well worth a visit. Be sure and take a copy of the X Factor with you, as you will probably get so horny that you will need immediate relief.

Made my first trip to Dick's after relocating to Phoenix six months ago. It was as everyone described a totally enjoyable and visually satisfying evening. Have read on a previous post that the dancers are not available for private work. I didn't want to bring the subject up to the one dancer who particularly caught my eye, since it was mentioned in the posting that scheduling "privates" with a dancer was against house policy. Any additional info on this, as I would certainly want to have the opportunity of some more intimate entertainment if possible with at least one of the dancers

As with other postings, I found the establishment attractive, and the dancers (if not all to my personal taste) alluring, sexy and very friendly.

I don't think that should stop you from asking. Be polite and non-agressive - all they can say is "sorry, the management won't allow it"

Thanks for feedback. As I said, am new to Phoenix from NYC and am accustomed to Stella's and The Gaiety. At Dick's the guys are overtly friendly. Had interest in one in particular goes by the name of Junior. Actually had him back to my place, with agreed on price and everything, but then after about 20 minutes of chat, he decided that this wasn't something he was "ready to do". Fine with me, and no money lost.

Know names of other guys who might be more approachable on subject of privates or escorting? It still seems strange to me, coming from a place where all the dancers (or 99%) make it readily known that they have the "for rent" sign out, to come to a place where there is nude dancing, and have to engage in such round a about tactics.

If you know any specific guys who let their availability be known, without flauntly house rules, let me know.
