The Fluffer---Has anyone seen it ?

Has anyone seen this movie ? What did you think of the role played by Steve Gurney? I would have "fluffed" him free of charge with NO problem.

I saw it, and thought it naive, badly conceived, written and made. If Steve Gurney was the "stud" the hero of the movie was obsessed with -- I say HANDS OFF! Any aid or comfort given to such a monster only perpetuates the oppression of sweet gay guys by brutal, selfish, using gay-for-pay monsters like the hero of that flick!

 

But on a serious note.....

Oh, I didn't think it was all that bad. "Gone with the wind" it ain't, but that isn't what it's meant to be either.

 

Of course, I watched it sitting between two pornstars so some of the chatter going on between us enhanced the experience quite a bit for me. Still, I think I would have enjoyed it watching alone (like most of the rest of the audience).

 

Wash West has been taken to task over the making of the film. He refused to allow the porn actors he's worked with to even audition for any of the primary roles, for instance. He used them as extras and that's about it. And in interviews, he claims he "spent time around the porn industry doing research". RESEARCH? Is THAT what you call all those award winning porn flicks he's directed? ROFL

 

I wouldn't call this a bad movie. I wouldn't call this a great movie. But I did enjoy it.
