Why do some private messages go to my email rather than my M4M Inbox even though my preferences are set to receive private messages but not email?

OK, I did that, but in the past I used to get a message telling me that there was a message in the Inbox. Ever since the last upgrade, when I get the notification, I get the message by email and not in the Inbox. The part that is even harder to understand is that some private messages still go to my Inbox without any email notification. I think there is a glitch somewhere here, and it has security implications because while it gives only the user name for M4M, it also includes the ISP address.

The fix is easy enough if you're that paranoid.

Actually, I had answered "no" so that's not the source of the problem.

It's not paranoia. I just seems like a system glitch that occured with the Upgrade and that perhaps it could be fixed. That way there is a choice of total anonymity with the Inbox, or not with the email option as before the Upgrade.
