Has something changed here?

I have noticed several times recently - and it just happend again this morning - that when I have entered the message center and

click on "read new", I get the usual number of new messages (about 13 to 25 depending on how busy it is and how long it has been since I last checked in). So far so good.

 

However, if I happen to click on a URL to see some escort's site, or whatever, and then go back to what should be the "read new" section, I find that I am getting "new" posts that go back many days. This morning when performing this task I suddenly went from the 13 I was reading to 360 new messages. Obviously something is out of whack. Any suggestions. Thanks.

This comes up from time to time.

 

It's possible there's some interplay between the new message you view and the messages that were new when THAT message was posted. In other words, the board software is forgetting *your* new messages, and showing you new messages from whenever that one was posted.

 

If that's the case, the behavior will likely change the next time the board software is updated.

 

(Note: I said change. I didn't say "be fixed". ;-))
