Daddy, I'm not disputing any observations you want to make about the "scene" in OKC vs Dallas/vs Amarillo/vs Houston, as I have never lived in any of those places.

As far as the op goes, he may as well seek out action in OKC, as it is a long drive to Amarillo (no action); an even longer drive to Dallas/Ft. Worth (good action) and Houston (good action) is so far from OKC that he would have to fly there.

 

I bet I have seen every granule of dirt in every corner of Oklahoma, and every granule of dirt, at least twice over, in every corner of Texas! Not that I volunteered to do so, mind you, it was that sick IT business that made me do it! :o

 

All the "gay scene" kidding aside, I will honestly state that Amarillo, TX is one of my absolutely very favorite places that I have ever had the pleasure to encounter, and I have encountered it many times. Why? Because, I have never seen a sky so stunningly beautiful at sunrise and sunset. Man, those purple skies would humble the most cynical (that's not me is it?) among us. :-)
