San Antonio and Austin

The street scene in Austin seems to have dried up, at least in what used to be the usual haunt's on 4th street. Can anyone give me an idea of what's currently happening in town?

 

Also, what is San Antonio like now? Are the same old areas hopping? Is there anything new to be aware of?

Hey guys,

 

C'mon someone from Austin has to know something. I've had one successful streetboy experience in Austin, and that seems to be because one wandered into my favorite bar off the street.

 

The 4th street area now seems to be seething with cops, bike, foot, horseback and parked cruiser, the bar has had a huge upscale hotel pop up accross the street.

 

Does anyone have any insight? Is the street trade dead? Is it time to avoid the street and stick to the bars?
