What is the street hustler deal like in SF these days?

Posted

I'm sorry to report that there's very little street action in SF these days -- especially along Polk Street. About 5 years back, they opened a homeless shelter on the street and the resulting crowd of indigents waiting for the place to open each evening pretty much killed off what was left of the "action."

Yes, you can still make an occasional contact but the vast majority of the guys are down-and-out druggies. Be very careful!

LAST EDITED ON Mar-12-01 AT 04:54PM (EST)[p]Tommy,

I never pick up hustlers from the street anymore. I've had too many unpleasant experiences -- watches ripped off, kids becoming beligerent, kids too stoned to perform, etc. Too bad, because I had some very pleasant encounters along Polk street in the 70's and 80's

However, there are some wonderful escorts in the city. My personal favorite is Adam (first listed under California) who, during the past year, has become a highly valued friend and companion.

If, for some reason, you don't want to book an appointment with one of the guys reviewed here, I'd suggest you scan the personals in Bay Area Reporter. They're available online at http://www.ebar.com -- without pictures though.

You can also try your luck at the Nob Hill or Campus theaters -- both of which have nude dancers who frequently escort.

yes the good ole days have changed. The Leland no longer is there to offer value-priced rooms. The QT is but a memory and the Giraffe is a laugh. some pseudo straight dance thing. forget Images next door: the $4 dollar orange juices are not worth it and whenever I was in there two older ladies sat in front of the video machines where the boys could linger and catch your eye. Only Reflections is still viable. Befriend one of the knowledgeable bartenders if you have a question of someone in particular. A few nice tips to them and you can find out whose (naughty( and whose (naughty and nice}>). There is a constant turn over on the streets and there are a few diamonds in the rough to be found there also. use common sense. If you're at all uncomfortable, don't do it.

Well, it's not a loss that the Leland is gone. I've never stayed in a worse dump. I was supposed to be there a week, but I couldn't stand it more than one night, so I checked out. Good riddance. x(

>the BAR is no longer online ....

I called them up; they are currently shopping for a new hosting company; it is their intention to return to the web sometime soon.

RE: San Francisco BAR

They have been saying that for over six months. It doesn't happen, so you have to wonder how hard they are trying.
