Once again here in Bangkok visiting with "the boys". Lots of them available and willing for the baht. Just getting settled in and not a lot to report. Tourism seems to be off and many are complaining. The dollar has lost 8 baht since last year but that does not explain it since Thailand has visitors from many countries.

TIP: If you should come, be sure to avoid the touts inside the airport trying to get you to take their taxi for 800 Baht. If you just walk out of the front door and get into one the taxis sitting there it will only cost you 300b plus 65b hiway tolls.

Have been here a couple of weeks now. Bangkok is all the fun it has always been but I find that tourism is a bit off. Most people I talk with, including money boys, complain about poor business. Restaurants are particularly upset. This cannot be attributed to the fall in the value of the dollar because most of the tourist here are not from the US. I do not have a hypothesis to explain it.

One night I was in the Telephone Bar and was the only farang. This was unbelievable. Only a couple across the street at Balcony.

The Malaysia Hotel is still a great hangout and good place to find true love for the day. If you plan to stay there be sure to reserve a room well in advance because it is always full. In the same area is a very nice guest house/hotel named the Pelican. Only 950 Baht per night and very nice for the price. Vincents is super nice in that the staff is most courteous and helpful. Vincent, a young gay Chinese Guy from Taipei owns the place. The restaurant is very good and his seven rooms are very nice. A little more expensive at 1250 Baht a night. I'm going to check out a new place called the Boss. It is brand new and just opened a couple of weeks ago. For my purposes I have elected to rent an apartment by the month. I will be here for 8 weeks and that was the best deal. It is only a small place by out standards. Bedroom/living room and small kitchen and bath. 12,500 Baht per month with air con.

The boys are, however, many and very friendly. I've been having fun.

Many of the guys on here rave about Brazil and, as is said, "each to his own". The guys here are certainly not the hunks of Brazil. Still, I like Thai Asians for their cultural habits. Nice, loving and great kissers.

If any of you have special questions just let me know.

Cajun,

This may seem naive, but I've never been there, and my stereotype of an Asian escort is a small little twink who is essentially appealing to western "tops". Is there any interest for "bottoms" in Bangkok? Any hunky, muscular, well hung escorts who can top?

RE: Report

I just returned from Bangkok 10 days ago, as part of a trip around the region. I probably was in kjun's area, as I was staying with a friend who lives near the Malaysia Hotel. I think the "Pelican Guest House" he refers to is actually the "Penguin Guest House". They have a website and were booked out even in this shoulder season. A friend of my host had been making inquiries for a friend.

There are plenty of Thai guys who are muscular and can top. Bar boys and massage boys of this description are easy to find. Non-commercial guys are not exactly rare either. True body builders are hard to find. But guys who would be considered moderately muscular or "defined swimmers" are quite prevalent--I've had relationships with Thai men of this description in the past.

What struck me, in a bad way, about this trip though was seeing a number of much older gentlemen with guys clearly in their early teens. I've been going back & forth to Thailand since the early 90s and lived there in the late 90s for several years; this was much more concerning to me than anything I'd seen in the past. These pairings were noticable even in places outside of Silom or Soi Ngam Du Pli, Ironically, there was a dragnet out for a Canadian who had been having sex with very young boys and who had slipped through immigration.

Man, you've got to get over here to dispel those stereotypes. I've run into lots of well-hung tops that were so aggressive I was seriously worried about getting hurt.

Bangkok's Cocks

There are hung Asians in Bangkok. I must say that I enjoy even the not so well hung. This is probably because it is a group into which I fall.

Still, there are the guys with considerable appendages here in the bars. I have never used an escort service here but that is a possible way to insure this is what you get.

The comment by another poster that older guys were seen with teens is something I cannot say I have seen this year or in the past. Perhaps in Pattaya but not here in Bangkok. Asians have a tendency to look much younger than their true years. One bartender in Telephone Bar looks like a 16 year old but told me last night that he is 31. I learn this over and over in talking to these guys.

Last night was dead at Telephone and the Balcony. So, Bee and I just went home and had fun on our on. That boys body is so smooth with tight muscles. Not really well built but you could wash your clothes on his stomach. Fine by me.

Later my friends.

RE: Bangkok's Cocks

I think one reason I got the impression that Bangkok was all about twinks is that everyone always refers to the Thai "boys". Personally I'm more interested in "men", but maybe it's just a matter of terminology. Also the Thai-based porn films I've seen are pretty much all twinks.

Glad to hear there are hunky, hung tops too. Maybe I will visit.

RE: Bangkok's Cocks

Some years ago I attempted to change the terminology here from Asian or Thai "boys" to "men." I lost that battle. It seems condescending to me to refer to guys in their 20's and 30's as boys, and here, especially since Asian men are often shorter, it strikes me as disrespectful.

I lost that battle, but the kung-fu, muy thai, and Asian soldiers probably know how to handle anyone who says it with malice, and I doubt that there is any malice implied here, so I gave up.

Boys, boys, boys!

RE: Bangkok's Cocks

I was in Bangkok last week on a trip to Thailand and Cambodja .

I have been to Bangkok for many years 3-4 times a year .

There were perhaps fewer farangs (foreigners) but it is not yet the season ; I have not noticed much difference than before .

If you want to see muscleboys in Bangkok , you must go to Tawan go-go bar ; there are at least 30-40 of them available .

The "take-out" charge is 400 bath now ; the minimum fee for the men is 1.000 bath and then you go with him to your hotel ot they take you to the infamous Suriwong hotel.

You can ask the waiter in Tawan which boy is active or passive ; gay or nor (most are not gay and have children) what they do in detail .

As for pedophiles ; they have moved(mostly) to poorer countries like Cambodja and Vietnam

My experience with Tawan is that the boys will not be happy with anything less than 1,500 baht for short time these days.

nooms

Most Thai guys under the age of 30, especially the gay ones, refer to themselves as "boy." Essentially, if you're a young unmarried man you are still considered a boy. (When gatoeys are being catty about one of their compadres who's getting a bit long in the tooth, they will say, "He's not a ladyboy. He's a ladyMAN!") Of course one shouldn't call a Thai male who clearly looks over 30 a boy, but the hangup about calling a Thai male in his 20s a boy is strictly on the western side.

If one prefers, the Thai word for a male between 20 and 29 is noom. A noom noy is between 15 and 20. Poochai is the word for Thai males in general, and dek chai are males under 15.
